Max Clark has signed a one-year contract to remain with Newcastle Falcons for the forthcoming season.
Clark initially joined Newcastle on a three-month deal last December, which was subsequently extended until the end of the campaign.
The 29-year-old former Bath and Dragons player scored two tries in his 11 appearances for the Falcons.
Newcastle have finished bottom in the past three seasons and begin the new Prem season at home to Saracens on 26 September.
Clark told his club's website: "We'll be written off by most people which makes us determined to cause as many upsets as possible, but we've got a really tight group of lads and I love being part of it."
