What a break from Maro Itoje out of an utter mess. He charged up the middle of the field.

Jamie George did the selfless thing - like the man he is - but I don't know if a pirouette is in his locker.

    Ollie Sleightholme (con Fin Smith)

England are purring. Ollie Sleightholme at the double.

Alex Mitchell keeps the ball alive with a smart tap-on close to the touchline, offloading to centurion Jamie George.

The hooker finds Sleightholme, who spins and pirouettes over the line with a fine finish in the corner.

    Fin Smith adds the conversion.

I'm no expert but Marcus Smith looks a pretty good player.

Don't take you eye off it Paolo.

Easy for me to say having never played Test match rugby, of course, but the Italy fly-half drops a simple catch from a high kick.

England will have the scrum and another platform to launch an attack.

This is foot-down acceleration from England. Right now Italy are on the brink. The 73 points that France put on them is rattling around in their minds.

Don't make the mistake of letting them back in.

    Tom Curry (con Fin Smith)

From provider to finisher, Tom Curry registers England's fifth try.

Having just set-up Marcus Smith's score, Tom Curry makes valuable yards with his initial carry before returning to his feet and smashing over a couple of phases later.

Fin Smith adds the conversion and England are turning the screw at the start of the second-half, much like France did a couple of weeks ago.

Excuse me Marcus Smith, but you will not mind me focusing more on Will Stuart.

That two-footed side step to set up front foot ball. My goodness me, get that as your screensaver.

For a front row forward that was epic.

    Marcus Smith (con Fin Smith)

Bonus point in the bag for England.

Tom Curry manages to offload the ball for Marcus Smith, who steps his way beyond the gainline before running clear to score the hosts' fourth try.

It's a fine finish, which is converted by Fin Smith.

A blow for the hosts and Bath for the remainder of the Premiership season.

    Great tackle Marcus Smith.

Italy have started brightly and Paolo Garbisi finds some room to fire a pass wide for Matt Gallagher, who is hauled down by Smith.

The ball is recycled but England have the penalty.

England need to do some work on this ref to get on his good side. He's favouring Italy at the moment. England need to be more disciplined.

I have no idea what Italy are trying to do in defence, but they have a few line breakers.

The likes of Ange Capuozzo, Ignacio Brex and Tommaso Menoncello, England need to watch out for.

England though must be thinking how this game is 21-17.

If England had ambitions to rack up a rout to boost their points difference column and massage their final-day permutation, this first half has been a rude awakening.

Italy have played with a cavalier flair, stinging the hosts with two razor-sharp attacks.

England have to win this match first before they can entertain any dreams of lifting the silver pot next weekend.

    England have been so superior.

Other than three or four attacks by Italy, England have looked like they have control but they switched off on those three occasions and were punished.

Lots of positives. They are disciplined in the way they defend.

England are beginning to show signs of progress. I'm loving watching this competitive side and it's making me leap for joy. Many glasses being smashed and many beers being chugged. Good times.
