Wales' defence was a mess there, no order at all.

There certainly was no Red Wall there, and Fiji could see the gaps from a mile away.

    Josivini Naihamu, con Litiana Vueti

It's a second try for the Fiji centre!

This is a typically Fijian try, with the forwards showing excellent hands in the offload, before Josivini Naihamu turns on the burners to sprint away from Kayleigh Powell and dive over.

Once again the conversion is good from Litiana Vueti, and Fiji are back in front.

    Wales 10-7 Fiji

Wales win the ball back but Fiji prop Karalaini Naisewa smothers Bethan Lewis at the breakdown and the penalty goes Fiji's way.

This time the kick is not as effective, but Fiji are midway inside the Welsh half.

    Wales 10-7 Fiji

There has not been a whole lot of structure to this opening quarter of an hour, but it has been entertaining!

The ball is back in Fiji hands on halfway.

Well done Alex Callender, the ball gets put on a plate for her and she gets over the line.

That's what we want from Wales' forwards, take ownership of the ball at the back of a ruck and just play it.

  9. try

Try: Wales 10-7 Fijipublished at 12 mins

    Alex Callender

The Wales co-captain marks her return with a try.

A strong carry from Gwenn Crabb gets Wales to within a metre out, and Alex Callender goes quickly to dive over.

Did she fumble the ball in the process? The referee seems happy and the try is awarded.

Keira Bevan takes too long over her conversion run-up and it is blocked by Fiji - the second game in a row in which they have blocked a conversion.

    Elinor Snowsill
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

I'm not sure if it (conversion) should have counted.

I think they used their water carrier to hold the ball on the tee, you're supposed to use another player - which Keira Bevan was trying to point out as she walked back.

It'll be interesting to see if they pick up on that.

    Wales 5-7 Fiji

Wales' line-out struggles continue at the World Cup, but Fiji fail to pounce on the loose ball.

It's in Welsh hands inside the Fiji 22.

    Wales 5-7 Fiji

Fiji get their exit wrong again, this time kicking the ball out on the full.

They hand momentum back to Wales immediately.

A great move from the line, all the way to the back of the lineout.

She runs a perfect line and powers through the Welsh defensive line.

Converted try: Wales 5-7 Fijipublished at 8 mins

    Josivini Naihamu, con Litiana Vueti

Wales make a mess of their own scrum and knock the ball on, giving Fiji a golden opportunity.

And from the five-metre scrum, Fiji opt for a training ground move which works to perfection - Josivini Naihamu diving over for the score.

Litiana Vueti adds the extras and Fiji take the lead.

    Wales 5-0 Fiji

Fiji come so close to scoring in the corner, and again it is Kolora Lomani who is looking the most threating.

After shrugging off one tackle, Wales eventually manage to push the Fijian wing towards touch a metre out from their own try line.

In true Fiji style, they try the spectacular to keep the attack alive, but the flicked pass in the air is knocked on and it will be a Welsh scrum.

The perfect start for Wales, turning pressure into points.

The build-up to the try was great.

The first penalty of the game goes Fiji's way, and Salanieta Kinita's kick to the corner is an excellent one.

A chance now for Fiji to hit straight back.

That's exactly what Wales would have wanted, putting on the pressure.

I was surprised to see Fiji kick so early on in their phases, but a great start by Wales.

  20. try

Try: Wales 5-0 Fijipublished at 2 mins

    Carys Cox

    The perfect start for Wales.

After a few phases, Keira Bevan goes left and delays a pass to Carys Cox who has a huge hole in the Fiji defence to run through.

An easy finish for the Wales centre.

Bevan misses the conversion from a tight angle.
