Well it was redemption night for Sean Everitt and his Edinburgh team and they certainly delivered in front of a home crowd.

Their "season starts tonight" is a powerful message from their skipper and it seems to be true. Hopefully the momentum of their five try victory sets them up for their upcoming fixtures.

Edinburgh head coach Sean Everitt tells Premier Sports:

"The first three weeks have been tough for us and the team. Hats off to the leadership group for pulling it together this week and getting the guys back on track after last week.

"There's a perception of Edinburgh that we're soft and have a soft underbelly and the character of the team was questioned last week as well as the passion. The guys took those comments personally and bounced back this week.

"I'm really proud of how the guys responded this week. It wasn't easy for me personally but I enjoy the challenge or else I wouldn't be in this job. Had we lost again tonight we would've been doubting what we're doing."

Edinburgh skipper Grant Gilchrist has also been chatting to Premier Sports:

"A lot of questions were asked of us and rightfully so. We spoke about last week about how it isn't acceptable and it still isn't. Tonight is the bare minimum, we showed who we are as people tonight.

"Every time we wear this jersey we wear it with pride and we didn't do that last week. It's about going to basics and doing your job and we didn't do that last week.

"It's nowhere near done, that's the bare minimum tonight and we build from here. Our season starts tonight."

Player of the Match Ben Muncaster has been talking to Premier Sports:

"We needed that win, three losses in a row is tough. Grant Gilchrist spoke earlier in the week about actions speak louder than words and we did that tonight.

"Obviously autumn tests is the dream but right now I'm just focusing on next week and getting another win."

What a way for Edinburgh to redeem themselves after an abysmal performance last week.
