Edinburgh had to stand up tall with some ferocious defence to keep themselves in front going into the break.
The Stormers have awoken from their early slumber and dominated that second quarter.
Sean Everitt will be heartened with how his team kept the South Africans out and absorbed so much pressure, but will know they need to find a way of regaining the initiative in the second half.
Edinburgh 14-7 Stormers
And that will be that. Edinburgh lead by seven points at half time in the Capital. A much better performance from Edinburgh and a turnaround from last week.
They can't say that it has been easy or comfortable as Stormers started to come back in the closing stages of the first half.
Edinburgh 14-7 Stormers
On the flip of that Stormers head coach John Dobson will be frustrated as an almost perfect attack from his side results in Angelo Davids knocking the ball on over the line.
This game is turning into a bit of chaos from both sides!
Edinburgh 14-7 Stormers
Well this is something Sean Everitt can be proud of! Ross Thompson manages to squeeze himself under the ball to hold it up over the line and turn it over.
What a defensive effort from the young fly-half.
Edinburgh 14-7 Stormers
The try seems to have brought Stormers to life as they are now on the front foot, taking the Edinburgh defence by surprise.
Stormers playing very loose and wide in the Capital and it has paid off as they have a line-out on the Edinburgh five metre mark.
Ruhan Nel
This time though Edinburgh can't keep Stormers out as they work the ball through the hands well and Ruhan Nel is the one to claim the glory.
Damian Willemse adds the extras from the tee
Edinburgh 14-0 Stormers
Edinburgh do well to turn the ball over through Jamie Ritchie and Grant Gilchrist but it's not enough to get Stormers out of their half.
For the third time we will have a Stormers put in at the scrum.
Edinburgh's Sean Everitt surely can't be happy with this penalty count.

What a fabulous try that was from Ben Muncaster.
Arrived on a great line, showed great footwork to step Leolin Zas and had the gas to finish it off.
This is more like it from Edinburgh. They have brought more intensity than anything they displayed last weekend.
The key is to keep it going for the full 80.
Edinburgh 14-0 Stormers
Stormers look as if they're guaranteed a score but Leolin Zas loses it as he crosses the line but Edinburgh can't stop giving penalties away so we will go back for another Stormers scrum
Edinburgh 14-0 Stormers
The answer is no! Off the back of the scrum in the shadow of the posts Damian Willemse goes sailing under the posts but he is deemed offside by referee Ben Whitehouse.
It is still a Stormers scrum as Edinburgh were offside as well.
Edinburgh 14-0 Stormers
Stormers have a penalty from the restart and are determined to get a try of their own with a line-out in the Edinburgh half.
A knock on from Edinburgh sees them win another penalty. Can Edinburgh do enough to keep them out?
Ben Muncaster
Edinburgh are quick to go again as Ben Muncaster goes storming up the middle through the Stormers' defence where no one can get close to him!
Muncaster on his own dives under the posts to get the second score for Edinburgh.
Ross Thompson gets the extras from the tee.
Patrick Harrison
Well this time there's no denying the hosts! Again a hard worked try as Edinburgh didn't give Stormers a chance to reset and Patrick Harrison squeezes through the smallest gap ever!
Ross Thompson adds the extras from the tee
Edinburgh 0-0 Stormers
No try! Brok Harris does just enough to knock the ball from Grant Gilchrist's grasp.
Edinburgh 5-0 Stormers
Referee Ben Whitehouse has called to have a look at the Edinburgh captain's grounding of the ball...
Does Stormers' Brok Harris do enough to stop the score?
Grant Gilchrist
Edinburgh desperately trying to find the gap in the South African defence but go back for a Stormers offside and they will go again
Pierre Schoeman smashes into the defence to bring his side within a metre.
A full team effort though sees Grant Gilchrist eventually crashing in over the top to open the scoring in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh 0-0 Stormers
Stormers are desperately trying to get back into this game but Edinburgh's pack are holding them back and pushing their way into Stormers half.
A crucial line-out for Edinburgh deep inside the Stormers 22 sees them turning up the heat despite the lashing rain.
Edinburgh 0-0 Stormers
Big statement from Stormers at the scrum as they look to reply to Edinburgh's early dominance.
It doesn't take long for Edinburgh to turn the ball and start rampaging up the pitch again.
Maybe all Sean Everitt's side needed was a home crowd cheering them to get on track...
Edinburgh 0-0 Stormers
Well this is a different Edinburgh from last week. Edinburgh are on the front foot here really pushing Stormers to try and gather their defence but Ali Price spots a gap and darts straight through the middle.
A knock on brings the phase of attack to a close but what a start from Edinburgh so far!
