It doesn't look good, it happens at face pace, but Tadhg doesn't make an attempt to wrap an arm and dip his body. It's reckless, I would be surprised if it didn't come to anything.

    And it will be checked.

Beirne was upright and Barrett came onto him quickly.

You'd say it'll be a penalty, but will it be more?

Play is stopped with a couple of players down in the line of play.

Beauden Barrett ran into Tadhg Beirne and felt the effects of that one.

That might be checked by the TMO.

That's a sloppy first line-out from Ireland...I don't think Tadhg Furlong will have been the planned jumper there!

    Ireland 0-0 New Zealand

It's not the best throw from New Zealand but Simon Parker grabs it at the second attempt.

Momentum has stalled but the All Blacks still have it.

Sadly I think the ABs will have too much power and nous for us today. 27 -14 to the ABs, but here's hoping.

    Ireland 0-0 New Zealand

Dan Sheehan overcooks his first throw and New Zealand have the ball back.

Will Jordan looks to stretch his legs early on and he's brought down, but referee Pierre Brousset awards the All Blacks a penalty for not rolling away.

It's sent into the Irish 22.

Jack Crowley sends the ball deep into the All Blacks' 22 and it's safely gathered.

They go through a couple of phases before Cam Roigard sends the ball into touch just over halfway.

There has been plenty of team training out on the practice pitch, but there is no replicating Test rugby, and the first 10 minutes of this game especially will be really interesting.

Will New Zealand just be too battle-hardened and too game ready?

It's a traditional response to the Haka from Ireland, who stand arm-in-arm and stare it down.

Now, it's time for the rugby to take over.

    So about Benny the Bull...

He has made it to Soldier Field for this one although it does look like he has sadly missed out on selection.

Only one winner...New Zealand by a long way!

    Luke, Portadown

I think New Zealand will win by 10 points.

    Jamie, Marlow

    Really nervous. Ireland seriously undercooked.

    Sam, Belfast

Ireland’s key injuries might tell the tale after the 60 minute mark. I think New Zealand might take care of business tonight by 10+ points unfortunately.

We've finished the anthems and it's definitely an Irish crowd in Chicago. I'm sure that was emotional for Barry Murphy.

Now, it's time for the Haka.

Former Munster player Barry Murphy will make a slice of history here as the first former Ireland international to sing Ireland's Call ahead of the game.

    A man of many talents.

In a moving touch, he's wearing an Ireland jersey on belonging the late Anthony Foley.

    Here's a look at Ireland's form in 2025.

That one defeat was a loss to France in Dublin in the Six Nations, and the last two wins over Gerogia and Portugal in the summer came with the majority of first-choice players away with Andy Farrell and the British and Irish Lions.

The All Blacks have played nine times since Ireland's strongest XV took to the field together.

We may be in America, but there's an Irish flavour to Chicago.
