Elliot Daly played wing in the Test series in 2017, started at 13 in the first Test of 2021 and is he now putting his name forward for the full-back role in this series.

Blair Kinghorn will be playing for Toulouse this weekend in the French Top 14 Final.

Hugo Keenan is still on his way back from injury.

Does this present a problem for the Lions at full-back?

Not based on the performance of Elliot Daly today. Two tries, a number of line breaks, solid under the high ball, the England international has put his hand up to say I can be included in the conversation for the number fifteen shirt.

Sometimes the saying, ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’ can play to the disadvantage of a player like Daly but given injuries etc it can also be an advantage.

  3. How ambitious should the Lions be?published at 12:39 British Summer Time

    Chris Jones
    BBC rugby union correspondent

Some of the Lions' attack is really intricate and good to watch, but not quite clicking with a fair few unforced handling errors.

It raises a key question: how much rugby should the Lions try to play on this tour? In 2017 for example, the Lions kept it simple, relying on physicality and kicking to take on the best of New Zealand.

In 2021 very little rugby was played against South Africa. On the evidence of the first two games the 2025 Lions are going to be a bit more ambitious, but that also comes with risk for a scratch side.

It's going to be so interesting to see how the gameplan develops over the coming weeks and the combinations Andy Farrell uses ahead of the Test series.

The forwards pack a punch before Elliot Daly glides over.

The red shirts roll through the phases close to the Force line.

It drags more defenders towards the breakdown, which allows Marcus Smith to feed Daly out wide for a run in.

    Smith adds the conversion.

The bounce of the ball can be cruel.

Western Force have been blown away in the second half but they remain committed to the contest.

In an attempt to launch an attack, the hosts kick wide for Mac Grealy but the bounce of the ball evades him.

The Lions scored nine tries on their last meeting with the Western Force back in 2013.

The Class of 2025 have scored six so far, but can they top the efforts of 12 years ago?

We have just under 20 minutes remaining in Perth...

A lot of negative comments from the Lions supporters. The purpose of these games IS to work out how to play for the Australia match-ups. Playing to expectations so far. Come on Lions!

The floodgates are starting to open...

Henry Pollock has only been back on the field a few minutes after returning from the naughty step, but he is quickly into the thick of things.

The eight chips over a couple of blue shirts and the favourable bounce of the ball allows him to regather.

He is unable to throw the final offload but the Lions recycle the ball and move it wide for Joe McCarthy to score in the corner.

    Finn Russell adds the conversion.

  14. Ringrose’s resilience finally pays offpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time

    Nigel Ringland
    BBC Sport at Optus Stadium

Gary Ringrose was unlucky to miss out on Lions selection in 2017 and 2021.

For a while this season some indifferent form and injury as well as missing most of the Six Nations because of the red card picked up against Wales meant being picked for this tour was no means a foregone conclusion.

That try will mean a lot to the Leinster man

Crisp handling worth the ticket fee alone.

The Lions throw the ball through the hands with ease before Garry Ringrose spots the opportunity and pins his ears back for the line.

Finn Russell bangs over the conversion from close range.

Tomos Williams has been exceptional. The worry now for the Lions is with Jamison Gibson-Park struggling with injury and yet to play, and Williams with a possible hamstring problem, is them being left light at scrum-half.

  18. Moustache update - Williams takes the leadpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time

    Western Force 7-26 Lions

    Nigel Ringland
    BBC Sport at Optus Stadium

So Tomos Williams moves ahead, two tries to one in the battle of the scrum-half moustaches.

It’s not his facial hair that will concern Andy Farrell but his hamstring as the Welshman, who has two tries and has played really well, leaves the field.

    Tomos Williams at the double.

The Lions turn defence into attack and launch a counter from deep inside their own territory.

James Lowe makes the break and feeds Williams, who is able to return the favour.

Lowe carries a few more metres before popping it back to Williams to dive over in the corner.

Worryingly for the tourists, though, the scrum-half appears to be holding his hamstring in the act of scoring.
