  1. Good night!published at 21:55 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Cardiff 36-52 Glasgow Warriors

Well, I think that will just about do us.

A night in which we saw the best of Cardiff and Glasgow in attack, and a few defensive errors along the way.

Tom Jordan and Sione Tuipulotu were the standouts for the winners, while Ben Thomas continues to impress for Cardiff.

We'll be back next week. Hwyl fawr!

  2. 'We did alright' - Thomaspublished at 21:47 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Cardiff 36-52 Glasgow Warriors

Ben Thomas was a standout for Cardiff again, and told Premier Sports: "For us, it was about parking the first half and trying to put our stamp on the game. We did that for the first 20 minutes of the second half.

"We'll look back and think attack-wise, we did what we wanted to do. Those key moments of the game, where we slip, Glasgow are going to punish you.

“Mentally, it was tough to take. To go down to 14 like that [due to two injuries in the front row] is tough but we did well. There’s always going to be lapses in defence but on the whole we did alright.”

  3. 'We gave them two or three easy ones' - Sherrattpublished at 21:43 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Cardiff 36-52 Glasgow Warriors

Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt tells Premier Sports: "For the neutral, and the Glasgow fan, it was a pretty good game. 88 points. It was helter-skelter, end to end. I spoke to Franco Smith a few minutes ago and he said 'I've never seen so many good individual tries'.

"The message at half-time - when we were 21 points down - was if you score once it's a 14 point game and the momentum of the game can swing quickly. If we score, will Glasgow be thinking of holding on."

"Glasgow are always going to score tries and you have to minimise the individual ones. We gave them two or three easy ones."

  4. A 'helter-skelter' to play in - Jordanpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Cardiff 36-52 Glasgow Warriors

A word from Tom Jordan as well: "A bit hectic game to be honest. We were starved of possession and we got a few tries out of nothing.

"Cardiff did an awesome job. We're confident on our performance but a lot to work on and tidy up. It was probably awesome to watch but playing it was a bit helter-skelter.

"There's always points in the game where you have to wear it, and teams get a roll on. You've got to back your processes and we did enough tonight."

"Sione got us out of a lot of trouble today. To get that front foot ball makes it so easy to play. He played awesome tonight."

He would have been a shout for player of the match as well, by the way. And also a shout to get a Scotland in the autumn, or whenever he qualifies.

  5. 'Mixed feelings' for Tuipulotupublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Cardiff 36-52 Glasgow Warriors

Player of the Match Sione Tuipulotu tells Premier Sports: "I've got mixed feelings to be honest, I'm fearful to go in the changing room and face the coaches!

"I don't think we played that well. Duncan [Weir] and [Patrick] Schickers closed the game out for us when Cardiff were putting us under pressure. A good win but a bit disappointed un our performance.

"We weren't doing the things we talked about at half-time. They were applying a lot of pressure, making it hard for us to exit. We need to concentrate on that next week.

"[I'm expecting] the wrath! I'm sure the coaches will be okay but be disappointed we didn't follow through on the things we talked about through the week."

  6. Full-time Cardiff 36-52 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 4 October

Wow, what a game of rugby, and it's finally come to an end.

Yes, the defence was ropey at times. But boy oh boy, was it entertaining stuff to watch.

Just when the tide was starting to turn against Glasgow, and fingernails had been chewed clean off, they hit back and put their hosts to the sword again.

13 tries later, Glasgow come away the winners and hand Cardiff their first defeat of the season.

  7. Player of the Match - Sione Tuipulotupublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 4 October

The Scotland star is named as player of the match, and it's no surprise.

One of the most complete centres in world rugby, he's almost certainly on the plane back to Australia next year as a British and Irish Lion.

I'm sure I heard Tom Shanklin say he could even be captain.

Cardiff have a penalty and they kick for the corner again. They've already got the try-scoring bonus point. Perhaps they see a losing bonus point on the horizon, too.

But the chance is gone. Penalty against Cardiff and Glasgow are delighted. The game is in the bag, but they don't want to give away another bonus point.

  10. try

Try Cardiff 36-52 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 75 mins

    Tom Jordan

This game has opened up and Glasgow have shown the clinical side they showed in the first half.

That time Ben Afshar saw a little gap and hared through it. In the covering chaos, Glasgow found control and Duncan Weir put Jordan over in the corner.

The Arms Park, which was rocking and raucous just a few minutes ago, has been silenced.

  11. converted try

Converted try Cardiff 36-47 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 72 mins

    Kyle Rowe

    And there is a try!

It starts from a delayed pass from Euan Ferrie to Jack Dempsey. The big number eight looks around desperately for support but doesn't have it.

The ball is worked to Rowe, he stabs through, breaks free from having his shirt pulled, and a lucky bounce puts the ball back in his hands. He dots down, relieved. He might have just won this game.

    Duncan Weir slots the kick.

  12. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Cardiff 36-40 Glasgow Warriors

Duncan Weir is on for Sione Tuipulotu. Glasgow need a bit of game management and Weir can provide that.

Still 10 minutes left - plenty of time for more tries.

  13. converted try

Converted try Cardiff 36-40 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 69 mins

    Ben Donnell

From the maul, Cardiff are held up inches short... but one more surge puts them over. It's Donnell who crashes over the Glasgow line.

The 14 men are somehow still swinging punches. Tinus de Beer nails the kick and it's a four point game again.

A reminder that Cardiff have not had a player sent off, but they've used all their front row subs, and when Liam Belcher came back on, he got injured.

  14. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Cardiff 29-40 Glasgow Warriors

Don't write Cardiff off yet. Jamie Dobie has been pinged for coming in at the side and Tinus de Beer has kicked them into the corner.

Still plenty of time for the hosts to get back into this.

  15. converted try

Converted try Cardiff 29-40 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 65 mins

    Matt Fagerson

And the man advantage up front pays off!

A solid line-out sees Glasgow's pods splinter and Fagerson is the man to spear over. Sensible rugby. It can't always be champagne stuff.

    Tom Jordan nails the conversion.

  16. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Cardiff 29-33 Glasgow Warriors

Cardiff came out of that maul with the ball, but they've been pinged for offside. Josh McNally is the offender.

Glasgow kick to the corner again. Gregor Hiddleston will throw.

  17. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Cardiff 29-33 Glasgow Warriors

Ben Afshar is on for Glasgow, with Jamie Dobie moved out onto the wing. Glasgow are enjoying their first spell of pressure meanwhile, but can they penetrate that Cardiff defence?

They win the penalty on the edge of the 22m and have a chance to stop the bleeding. What will they do?

The Glasgow way is to kick to the corner, not for the posts, and that's exactly what they do.

  18. Penalty Cardiff 29-33 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 60 mins

    Tinus de Beer

Glasgow are on their own 22m line, and they give away a penalty! Jamie Bhatti is the man pinged for playing Elis Bevan at the back of the ruck.

Cardiff, tactically, take the three points. They know the momentum is with them and put themselves four points behind with a simple kick in front of the posts.

  19. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Cardiff 26-33 Glasgow Warriors

We've just had our first farcical non-contested scrum. Glasgow lose the ball in the next phase anyway.

The momentum is certainly with the hosts at the moment. If they keep this up, they'll be level and ahead soon.

  20. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Cardiff 26-33 Glasgow Warriors

Teddy Williams breaks free and Ellis Bevan could be in - but he drops the pass!

Cardiff have been brilliant in this second half but that was a real chance to level the scores.
