Munster finished sixth in the regular season and whilst it has been an inconsistent campaign, they do come into this game after back-to-back wins to end the season.

They have also won their past two URC quarter-finals, but did suffer a heavy defeat on their last visit to Durban.

The Sharks, meanwhile, finished third in the regular season and have suffered just two defeats at home this campaign, against Toulouse in the Champions Cup and Leinster in the URC.

  6. 'Trying too hard'published at 17:00 British Summer Time 31 May

    FT: Leinster 33-21 Scarlets

Leinster captain Jack Conan tells BBC One Wales: "We were good in parts. Discipline killed us a little bit, we gave away a lot of soft penalties. In fairness to the Scarlets, they stuck in it and battled hard, so they’re a team with a lot of passion.

"They pushed us at times, I think we were just a bit inaccurate and forced things. There were some frustrating bits there.

"I think it’s just that lads want to have big moments and feel like they’re doing well. Sometimes, it’s just a bit of overzealousness.

"We gave away some sloppy penalties and were trying a little bit too hard."

  7. 'A little scrappy'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 31 May

    FT: Leinster 33-21 Scarlets

Leinster full-back Hugo Keenan was named player of the match.

"We’ll take the win, knockout finals rugby is never going to be pretty," said Keenan.

"It was a little bit scrappy, a little ill-disciplined but we’re just happy to get through and onto the next one now.

"Our discipline wasn’t great, we were a little bit loose with the ball in the first half, so we’ll have to be better at that.

"Glasgow will have their tails up and it will be a tough game next week."

    Rhys Patchell

Scarlets were right in the fight for a lot of that game.

Leinster paid them the respect that they deserved by taking three points rather than going for the corner.

In the end, the scoreline was a fair reflection of the game.

That should be that as far as the Scarlets are concerned.

No mistake from Prendergast and that should mean that Leinster go on and book their place in the last four.

It is a yellow card rather than a red card with the officials not seeing a high degree of danger.

It is a second sin-binning for Scarlets in the second half.

Leinster will be desperate to win this competition.

They’ve put a lot of their effort into European games. If you look through their squad, hardly any of their players have played double figures in the URC this season.

That’s the difference. The Scarlets are playing up to 20 games and in Europe as well, it counts for a lot at this stage in the season.

  17. Captain Conan forced offpublished at 69 mins

    Leinster 30-14 Scarlets

That latest try looks as if it’s going to be a pivotal moment in the context of this game.

Leinster are pulling away with momentum on their side. They’re eyeing a home semi-final against Glasgow.
