If there's an Achilles heel in Scotland's game it's that they cannot convert those driving plays into tries.

Scotland play an exciting game but it's not producing wins in this championship.

Scotland make their way into France's 22 again, but Finn Russell drifts a pass out wide for someone to run onto... and there's nobody there.

Ten minutes for Gregor Townsend's side to do something remarkable, otherwise France are champions.

Louis Bielle-Biarrey was a little overexcited and lifted Finn Russell's legs. He did not want to see him with an easy run so close to the line.

It's the right decision. Bielle-Biarrey sacrificed himself.

Louis Bielle-Biarrey absolutely nails Finn Russell, but Scotland's fly-half was taken beyond the horizontal in the tackle and the visitors have a penalty.

Huw Jones has also taken a knock and is heading off.

    Stade de France is shaking.

The home fans roar: "qui ne saute pas n'est pas francais" and leap up and down en masse.

The chant, translated, means "he who does not jump is not French". I'd love to take credit for that translation, but it's all Jamie Lyall, sat across from me.

Quite the backdrop on a special night for Les Bleus.

It all starts again with Louis Bielle-Biarrey, but the class of Gael Fickou, putting his mate in space.

This is a huge punch from France, a big, big moment.

Yoram Moefana has really stepped up to the plate to be a world-class number 12 this Six Nations.

The offload from Bielle-Biarrey - just outstanding.

You think for once he's been marshalled, but he managed to get through the tackle.

It's a valiant effort from Finn Russell to try and hold Moefana up. Just too much strength and momentum.

    That will be that.

It's a magnificent score - rugby of the very highest class. Louis Bielle-Biarrey offloads to Gael Fickou who flicks a lovely pass out wide to Yoram Moefana.

He runs over the top of Finn Russell and dots down for his second and France's fourth try.

The conversion slides wide on this occasion.

Louis Bielle-Biarrey keeps up his prolific form. No stopping the searing young winger when he is set loose in open field.

He now holds the record for the most tries in a Six Nations tournament with eight.

Maxime Lucu drops a well-judged kick into space behind Scotland's defence, just to ramp up the pressure further.

Ben White clears from the resulting lineout, but only to the edge of the 22.

    France will come again.

Darcy Graham panics a little and bites in. It's a simple try in the end.

The worry when you get to that situation is a penalty try and a yellow card, and then you'd be in even more trouble.

No surprise what France will do for the rest of this game. The Scottish forwards have been on the pitch for nearly 60 minutes and it's energy sapping.

Size and power from France. Scotland had to commit everyone to that maul. Nice hands and Thomas Ramos runs it in.

  20. 'Double down' on monster maulpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 30-16 Scotland

    Benjamin Kayser

Since minute three we saw the domination in the driving maul - the only weapon working well for the French team tonight, and so they should double down on it.

This one was pulled down illegally, but there was good decision-making and handling from it.
