Those Scottish forwards have put some shift in.

Gregor Brown has been absolutely outstanding. One of the best performances I've seen for a long time.

He's making yardage, getting beyond the first tackle. He's not offloading, which is fine, but he's putting the French defenders on their heels.

Some interesting stats for you at the break.

Metres carried: France - 283, Scotland - 430. But, metres made: France - 166, Scotland - 191. That means Scotland haven't gotten over the gainline with the same kind of consistency as their hosts.

Yet, France have missed 19 tackles compared to Scotland's nine. That is told in the linebreaks, too, where Scotland lead three to two.

Discipline-wise, France have conceded six penalties to Scotland's seven.

The kicking stats are about even.

  4. Mauvaka is 'very lucky' not to see redpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    Johnnie Beattie
Former Scotland back row on ITV

You can't fly across the ground and headbutt someone. We do not want to see that in our sport.

Ramos starts the entire thing, and Mauvaka lunging at someone head first, he is very lucky that hasn't been upgraded to a red card.

The Peato Mauvaka decision makes a mockery of the bunker system. How is it a low level of danger when a player headbutts someone after the whistle?

    Steve, Powys

The thing that's most confusing about the Mauvaka card decision is that the "not a high degree of danger" explanation suggests the officials are viewing the headbutt in the context of a 50/50 tackle and not, as was the case, an astounding act of aggression completely off the ball.

  7. 'Sickener for Scotland'published at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    HT: France 16-13 Scotland

    Andy Burke
BBC Sport Scotland at Stade de France

That's a sickener for Scotland. What a boost it would have been to go in leading at the break.

Still, I'm sure Gregor Townsend will be emphasising how well his team has done to work their way back into this game. They are right in it.

  8. Half-timepublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 16-13 Scotland

An incredible 40 minutes of rugby comes to an end.

France started in magnificent fashion and deservedly led, but Scotland weathered the storm and have fought back superbly.

Indeed, they thought they would be heading into the break in front until Tom Jordan's try was chalked off.

Much of the focus will be on the red card that wasn't though, with France hooker Peato Mauvaka escaping with just a yellow after he headbutted Ben White.

  9. Disallowed trypublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 16-13 Scotland

    Oh, hang on.

The TMO halts Scotland's fun by informing Matthew Carley that Blair Kinghorn was in touch before Tom Jordan went over.

It must have been a matter of millimetres.

  10. Kinghorn 'burns France to cinders'published at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 16-18 Scotland

    Scott Hastings
    Former Scotland player on ITV

Blair Kinghorn - oh my goodness! He burnt France to cinders.

Matt Fagerson carried so well, but the switch play from Finn Russell and the power from Tom Jordan.

    Fabien Galthie is in disbelief.

  11. try

Try France 16-18 SCOTLANDpublished at 40 mins

    Tom Jordan

A sensational score - it's all about Blair Kinghorn.

The Scotland full-back spots a gap and goes through the gears, opening up his stride to devastating effect.

He makes his way into the France 22, but Scotland recycle and Tom Jordan barges his way over.

    Cherry just lay there.

Maybe it was the shock of being run over by an 145kg monster.

    Benjamin Kayser
    Former France hooker on ITV

Scotland picked the right angles, varied the point of attack, and won four penalty advantages - that huge.

It was clumsy from France and Matthew Carley had to give a yellow card.

France are under pressure on the scoreboard with a man down, they have to be very careful about the shift in momentum.

  16. Penalty France 13-13 SCOTLANDpublished at 37 mins

Over it goes and Scotland are level.

A magnificent effort after the early French barrage.

  17. Sin-bin Jean-Baptiste Gros (France)published at 36 mins

    France 13-10 Scotland

France must have infringed on four separate occasions there and eventually Matthew Carley decides to stop play and talk to the TMO.

Prop Jean-Baptiste Gros is shown yellow as a result of the multiple offences.

Finn Russell gestures at the posts.

They are going through the phases, but can they convert?

  19. Postpublished at 32 mins

Gael Fickou jumps out of the French defensive line but can't quite stretch far enough to catch Finn Russell's fired pass.

Just a knock on, and Scotland have a scrum just outside the home side's 22.

  20. 'Instrumental' Russell shows qualitypublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 13-10 Scotland

    Peter Wright
    Former Scotland prop on Sportsound

Finn Russell is so instrumental in all of that.

The whipped pass to Huw Jones, the step to straighten up and hold the defender.

It's the quality of Russell, there's so much traffic but he has the ability to put guys away through holes.
