Some of Australia's big leaders stood up there.

Harry Wilson, Robby Valetini and Len Ikitau all had big moments in that play.

So Ireland have been in the Australian 22 twice and scored twice, and the Wallabies have been in the opposing red zone once and made it count.

    Lively.

Australia are now right in the Irish 22.

Can they make it count? Ireland have been clinical at the other end.

    Ireland 14-0 Australia

This is a very important period of time for Australia.

They have got to try to get control of this game and the momentum.

  9. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Ireland 14-0 Australia

This is better from Australia, as Angus Bell throws a nice dummy and sets Harry Potter away, who then sends it forward.

Mack Hansen clears in return, and feels a little short changed from the assistant referee who didn't go as far as the Irish full-back would have hoped.

    Ireland 14-0 Australia

    Brian O'Driscoll

You would be disappointed if you were the Australian defence coach here.

McCloskey has a bit of a juggle and he shouldn't get a second grab on it when he does.

    Ireland 14-0 Australia

The throw has too much on it and Caelan Doris brings the ball forward.

Fraser McReight then infringes and Prendergast will wallop this clear.

    Ireland 14-0 Australia

Australia have the penalty advantage and it's a first foray into the Irish half.

They fluff their lines but play is brought back by referee Karl Dickson.

James O'Connor sends the ball into the 22.

  13. try

Converted Try - Ireland 14-0 Australiapublished at 11 mins

    Mack Hansen (con Prendergast)

Rinse and repeat. Mack Hansen is at the double.

It's a carbon copy of the first try as McCloskey brings Ireland a metre out, the hosts work it through the hands and Hansen races through a gap and under the posts.

    Prendergast converts again.

What a start this is from Ireland.

Ireland come again and Stuart McCloskey is down just short.

    Ireland 7-0 Australia

We've a bit of a stoppage as James Ryan is getting patched up.

Ireland are in a great position when we get going again.

  16. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Ireland 7-0 Australia

Australia go early from the scrum and Ireland win the free-kick.

Sam Prendergast lands a wonder kick right into the corner, and Max Jorgensen makes a meal of it and knocks it on.

That's a shocker from the Aussie full-back. A blinder from Prendergast.

  17. 'Fantastic start'published at 20:19 GMT 15 November

    Ireland 7-0 Australia

    Brian O'Driscoll

Fantastic start from Ireland and exactly what Andy Farrell would have wanted.

It wasn't perfect, but there was slick handling and it is unrecognisable to what they have been like the last few weeks.

    Ireland 7-0 Australia

    This has been lively.

Sam Prendergast nails James O'Connor and wins the knock on scrum.

    Matt Gault

This is what has been largely lacking for Ireland in recent weeks. Clarity of thought and sweetness of execution.

Andy Farrell said during the week that Mack Hansen had the bit between his teeth after the injury that disrupted his Lions tour.

    He wasn't joking.

  20. try

Converted Try - Ireland 7-0 Australiapublished at 7 mins

    Mack Hansen (con Prendergast)

    Return of the Mack!

The quick penalty form Jamison Gibson-Park had Australia all over the park, and the never recovered as Mack Hansen darts through one of many gaps in the gold line of defence to score under the posts.

Sam Prendergast adds the easy conversion.
