FT: Scarlets 15-24 Cardiff
Derby rights are heading east tonight as Cardiff maintained their winning start to the new United Rugby Championship season.
Scarlets flew out of the blocks with early tries from Macs Page and Taine Plumtree, before the visitors hit back with two of their own from Liam Belcher and Mason Grady in a breathless first half.
Scarlets' discipline then came under the spotlight after the break and at one point were down to 13 as Harri Millard took full advantage.
Ben Thomas' solo effort wrapped up the bonus point, while Sam Costelow will be left to rue two missed penalties.

Cardiff flanker and player of the match Dan Thomas on Premier Sports: "It's good to come back here and get the win, it's a long time since I've been here.
"We didn't start off the best but so long as we finish well, with the character we showed at the end, then I'm happy.
"The game is won between the eights [packs] and it's credit to our forwards how much work we've done in pre-season. Kicked to the corner, scored a try, went for the scrum and scored a try."

Cardiff captain Liam Belcher told Premier Sports: It's a funny one with the start because our head coach Matt Sherratt came up with that kick-off move so we'll blame that one on him.
It's big resilience, we had that last year - sticking in games - but credit to the half-backs marching us around the pitch for 60 minutes.
I thought the defence before half-time was really important keeping them out and I think that tired out the Scarlets, and the forwards did well in the end to get the two yellow cards.
Last year we kept going for points when we had teams under the cosh and it came off tonight, so we'll take that.

That's really good pressure from Cardiff. Initially hitting the big ball-carriers of the Scarlets, forcing them to kick. Then it's a really clever kick downfield from Ben Thomas.
Ioan Lloyd was unable to gather the ball and Ben Thomas gathers it, a little fend and Cardiff have gone 60 metres and that's silenced the crowd here.

I think that's the right call from the referee. As we all know when you slow it down it looks worse, he did try to wrap the arms but it was just too high.
