Oh Sam Costelow has pushed it!

That was a pretty straight-forward kick, bang in front 25 metres out.

He took his time to try and eat out the clock and rightly so but you feel he should have nailed that.

Sam Costelow has pushed it wide.

It's a poor miss from the Wales fly-half, but it has at least wound down the clock.

Heroic effort there from the skipper Josh Macloed.

Two players down and he wins a huge turnover.

Scarlets now have the chance to regain the lead with Sam Costelow calling for the tee.

That was inevitable. There was so much space on the left-hand side.

They made Harri Millard work a bit for it in the end actually.

Scarlets have taken a minute to walk to the restart there and the referee is in no rush either. If you were Matt Sherratt you'd be fuming.

    Millard

    It's easy for Cardiff.

They have two men on the overlap and Harri Millard runs in unopposed.

Scarlets are under big pressure now, again Cardiff opt for the scrum, this time against 13 men.

You feel like it's only a matter of time before the damn bursts here.

    It was inevitable.

Scarlets were on a warning and Alec Hepburn follows Elias into the sin bin.

They are going to have to sacrifice numbers in the scrum now.

Cardiff are just keeping the ball in the scrum, putting the pressure on the Scarlets pack.

Another penalty from the latest scrum and that looks like a warning from the referee. No surprises what Cardiff will do here now, keeping the ball in.

It's such a difficult place for Scarlets to defend.

It's another penalty for collapsing. Scarlets are in danger of going down to 13.

It's no surprise what Cardiff are calling for here.

The man advantage is telling in the scrum and Scarlets concede another penalty for collapsing.

    Cardiff call another scrum.

They are about three metres out in the centre of the field.

Ryan Elias didn't have any complaints there for the yellow card.

It probably changes the mindset for Cardiff whether to go for the three points or the try.

Scrum it is and they're going for the try.

Elias can breathe a sight of relief there.

The referee was looking at a red card for a no-arms tackle and making direct contact with the head.

But the TMO suggests there has been a change of direction from Thomas, so it's downgraded to a yellow.

Hold on, we're looking at a replay here of Ryan Elias' tackle on Dan Thomas.

    He could be in trouble.

Cardiff are putting the pressure on Scarlets now. They've opted to go for the scrum and lineout a few times but with another kickable penalty do they go for posts here?

Scarlets manage to disrupt the scrum, but concede another penalty.

Cardiff once again turn down three points, and we're preparing for another scrum.

Harri Millard almost makes an instant impact.

Callum Sheedy feeds him on the wing, but the ball is just held up.

Cardiff go back for the penalty, but again they turn down three points in favour of the scrum.

It's bang in the middle of the pitch. What can they do from here?

Quirky one... with Alec Hepburn starting, it means both Scarlets props are dual-nation internationals.

Hepburn for England and Scotland, Henry Thomas for England and Wales.

I think that's one for the purists...

Couple of times Cardiff have looked to thread a few kicks through, but in fairness to the Scarlets backfield they've been in position to deal with them.

    That's funny.

For those that picked up the ref's mic there, he asked Josh Macleod if he had cramp, with the flanker replying, 'yeah, for nine months!'
