  2. 'We were inaccurate' - Smithpublished at 22:25 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    FT: Harlequins 24-7 Glasgow

Glasgow head coach Franco Smith tells Premier Sports: "They are difficult to play. We made too many tackles in the first half and that led to us chasing the game. It was obvious for everyone to see we were inaccurate from an attack perspective.

"[Scott Cummings] will have to be assessed. Hopefully it's not too serious.

"One or two balls dropped, we didn't win the lineout the way we normally do. We got disrupted there and just too many balls went to ground tonight."

Glasgow need to put an 80-minute performance together to get further in this tournament.

Being back at home is massive, but they will need to find some momentum come April.

  4. Who has qualified for the last 16?published at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    FT: Harlequins 24-7 Glasgow

Bordeaux-Begles, Toulouse, Leicester Tigers, Leinster, Northampton Saints, Toulon, Glasgow Warriors, Munster, Saracens, Castres, Benetton, Clermont Auvergne, Harlequins and La Rochelle have all qualified for the last 16.

Only two spots remain and four sides - Ulster, Sharks, Racing 92 and Sale Sharks - remain in the hunt to grab those final places.

  5. 'To control the game really pleasing' - Wilsonpublished at 22:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    FT: Harlequins 24-7 Glasgow

Harlequins head coach Danny Wilson tells Premier Sports: "Really pleased. We knew they were a good side. To control the game as we did and to only concede seven points is really pleasing.

"There was a little bit of the old England v Scotland there. We needed to be on top of our physicality and we showed that.

"James Chisholm played really well and added to our mobility.

"We defended well, made some big shots and that stopped their momentum.

"We showed last year that wherever we go [in the last 16] we'll have a good crack."

  6. Postpublished at 22:14 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    FT: Harlequins 24-7 Glasgow

Glasgow made 546m with ball in hand this evening, more than Harlequins' 423m, and they also made more clean breaks (15 to 8).

However, they could never truly translate that into meaningful territory and Quins were simply more clinical in attack.

It's the fine margins that matter at this level.

Harlequins centre Oscar Beard has also been talking to Premier Sports: "We're really happy with that, we've been a bit out of form recently so to come back, we're happy.

"I'm buzzing to be involved [in the Six Nations squad]. The better we play as a team, the better I play so hopefully we can kick on."

  8. 'Boys cook when pressure's on' - Cunningham-Southpublished at 22:03 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January

    FT: Harlequins 24-7 Glasgow

Harlequins flanker and player of the match Chandler Cunningham-South has been talking to Premier Sports: "It was tough but I enjoyed it.

"The boys wanted it and the fans wanted it - we're just happy to deliver.

"When the pressure's on, the boys cook, so it's good."

Glasgow scrum-half Ben Afshar boots the ball to touch and that is that at The Stoop.

Those four points are enough to secure Harlequins a last-16 spot, despite the lack of a bonus point, after Racing 92 beat Stormers 31-22.

With only Sunday's match between sixth-placed Sale and Pool 4 leaders Toulon to come, Quins are guaranteed a top-four finish thanks to their superior points difference over Racing.

Cadan Murley thinks he's in in the corner for the hosts, but Glasgow wrap the winger up and will have a scrum in their own 22.

Chandler Cunningham-South was immense (again) in that attack.

Quins kick their way to halfway.

They have five minutes to find what would be a vital try.

However, the lineout throw isn't straight and Glasgow have a scrum.

Quins need one more try for the bonus point that would likely secure their spot in the last 16.

Assuming they go on to win, that is.

It's so loose out there now.

Huw Jones makes a break into Quins' half, but the Glasgow centre is on his own.

The hosts turn it over (not by entirely legal means, it must be said), and Cadan Murley has a clear run to the line down the left wing.

    The conversion is good.

We've still not had a second-half score, but will there be late drama?

Kyle Rowe is penalised for an aerial duel with Nick David.

Every time Glasgow have got a little bit of momentum in this game, they have handed it straight back to Harlequins.

    Harlequins 17-7 Glasgow

Harlequins are awarded a free-kick at the lineout after Glasgow are deemed to have gone early.

Johnny Matthews looks furious. That sparks a total change in the front row.

Jamie Bhatti, Gregor Hiddleston and Sam Talakai are all on, as are Ben Afshar and Henco Venter.

    Harlequins 17-7 Glasgow

Glasgow are piling bodies forward in search of their second try, and now have a penalty advantage.

An audacious Stafford McDowall offload to Rory Darge doesn't quite go to hand, but Tom Jordan goes to the corner.

For all Quins' first-half dominance, their lead is only 10 points.

Yep, it clearly goes forward off Josh McKay, so the home side have a scrum 5m from their own line.

Glasgow winger Sebastian Cancelliere thinks he might have got the ball down in the corner, but the officials are checking whether Josh McKay knocked on seconds before.
