    Ospreys 7-12 Cardiff

Ospreys had an attacking lineout about seven metres from the Cardiff line but Sam Parry does not get his throw right.

That's a second lineout chance gone already for Ospreys in the opening quarter.

That's a surprise because the driving lineout is usually such a reliable weapon for them.

This is a fixture both sides really have to win if they want to finish in the United Rugby Championship top eight and secure a play-off place.

It is not over for the loser today but they will have to probably win their remaining three games, with two of those matches in South Africa next month.

I've just been told that was Cam Winnett's 11th try-assist of the season.

    Impressive.

That try came from the short game.

Cardiff were patient, Jack Walsh did well to get it across to Hamer-Webb, and that’s a very well-worked try.

Josh Adams was so quick over the ball, he really has had a great game so far.

    Gabriel Hamer-Webb

The wing steps inside opposite number Dan Kasende and suddenly Cardiff are ahead.

That all started from Josh Adams winning a turnover penalty in midfield.

Cardiff's forwards softened up the defence before their backs spread the ball wide and Cam Winnett sends Hamer-Webb over.

I think Mark Jones will be disappointed with that score.

It didn't take that much for the 14-man Cardiff to get over.

That was such a well-taken try and a brave move with the quick tap-penalty.

They’re a man down and they still trucked it up the field, that’s a big blow for the Ospreys.

Alex Mann try, Callum Sheedy con

Well Cardiff needed an immediate response and they got it as Mann twists his way over.

Ospreys had dominated possession up until then but a penalty allowed Cardiff to gain a foothold up field and then it was just a steady build-up of pressure that got the visitors over.

    Yes, Ian you're right.

It was a fantastic break by the Wales captain and only a last-gasp tackle by Ben Donnell denied him a wonderful score.

    Morgan already showing his class.

That was great footwork from Jac Morgan. He hit such a great angle, he was unlucky not to get over himself.

Keiran Williams is so hard to stop from that far out, great finish.

Keiran Williams try, Dan Edwards con

Ospreys cut shreds through Cardiff and the centre dives between the posts for the opening score.

It all started with a wonderful break by captain Jac Morgan who burst onto a short pass from Reuben Morgan-Williams and beat three defenders.

Ospreys recycle quickly and Williams is in.

    Well... not that time.

Alex Mann comes up with a big turnover about 15 metres in front of his own posts and Cardiff can clear.

Oh... Callum Sheedy slices that kick horribly.

    Not much relief.

Actually, referee Ben Connor has taken a second look at that tackle and it was high.

Not a high degree of danger but Williams is off for the next 10.

    Can Ospreys capitalise?

Dan Edwards ran down a dead end there into Cardiff lock Teddy Williams.

    Absolutely stopped in his tracks.

Josh Adams has had a great start to this game already.

He’s turned the ball over, put a guy into touch and had a massive tackle.

    Ospreys 0-0 Cardiff

Cardiff are playing in their change colour of all red - perhaps no surprise given they have just been taken over by the WRU.

Mind you, they were in all red the last time Judgement Day was here at the Principality Stadium when they beat Ospreys to lift the Welsh Shield. Can they do the same again?

  19. Roof open after 'technical issue'published at 14:59 British Summer Time 19 April

    Ospreys v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

The Principality Stadium roof was meant to be closed today but - as with so much in Welsh rugby - there has been a glitch!

The Welsh Rugby Union says a technical issue with the software that operates the roof means it will be left open.

Let's hope we've seen the back of the rain.

Mark Jones is doing a brilliant job at the Ospreys.

He’s so positive, so happy. That’s what his rugby is all about, he’s such a great character.
