FT: Ireland 43-27 Spain
That was truly a fantastic exhibition of rugby from both teams and was compelling right to the end. Spain played their part massively in that game and came away with a bonuis point with their five tries. They will be hoping to get a victory against Japan next week.
For Ireland, though, it is job done as back-to-back bonus point wins secure their place in the knockout stages ahead of next week's mouth-watering clash with New Zealand in Brighton.
That game is a 14:45 kick off and we will be here again with live text commentary and reaction. We hope you can join us then but, for now, thank you for joining us today and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

In terms of the goals this squad had, that is two wins, so tick, tick. In this pool there were no gimmies, Ireland wanted a big physical battle like this. They have things to work on, but some great individual performances.
This has been a truly compelling game of rugby showcasing everything good about the game.
Ultimately though it is job done for Scott Bemand's side who beat their World Cup points record set last week by a point and progress through to the knockout stages.
They now go to Brighton next week to take on New Zealand who take on Japan kicking off right about now. There will still be plenty of 'work-ons' in training this week but Northampton has been a happy hunting ground for Ireland these past two weeks.

Cristina Blanco
With the final play of the match, Spain score a wonderful try from a trick play off a lineout. Blanco throws short to scrum half Vergara who gives it back to allow the hooker in the corner.
A shame for Spain as scrum half Bingbing Vergara knocks on at the ruck. That does not take away from the fact that Spain have stayed in this game right to the end and have contributed massively to a thoroughly entertaining game.

Anna McGann (con Breen)
Ireland outlast the Spanish defence and Anna McGann shows some brilliant footwork in a tight space to go over in the corner for her second try.
Replacement Enya Breen adds the extras. Do Spain have anything in response with just under ten minutes left? They have had nearly every time so far today!

Spain's defence has been absolutely ferocious this afternoon! They are pinged there for Zahia Perez playing Ireland scrum half Emily Lane but Nancy McGillivray was absolutely hammered in a double tackle with her first touch of the game - and tournament!

Grace Moore (con O'Brien)
Stop me if you have heard this before... Ireland allow the pack to go through the phases before crashing over near the posts.
This time it is Grace Moore who goes over for her second try and, with Dannah O'Brien's conversion, Scott Bemand's side open up their biggest lead of the day as we approach the hour mark.

Grace Moore
Zahia Perez doesn't get enough on her clearance kick and gives Ireland a line-out in the Spanish 22. Claire Boles takes the ball off the top and her back row partner Grace Moore hits a devastating line off the short pass to power over.
Dannah O'Brien strikes the upright again with her conversion but Ireland almost immediately cancel out the Spain try.
