  2. 'Five tries a positive' - Everittpublished at 21:51 British Summer Time 20 September

    FT: Edinburgh 31-33 Leinster

Edinburgh head coach Sean Everitt tells Premier Sports: "It was frustrating for us. They won the kicking game and that cost us.

"We still managed to score five tries with the possession and territory we had, so that's a positive.

"I thought our discipline was outstanding when we were under the pump for long spells.

"There's a lot of positives to take but we're obviously not happy with the result."

  3. 'Great experience for young guys' - Cullenpublished at 21:47 British Summer Time 20 September

    FT: Edinburgh 31-33 Leinster

Leinster head coach Leo Cullen: "It was OK. I thought we were second to the punch a fair bit in the first half. There were some good moments and frustrating ones as well.

"Overall, there were some young players in there so it's great experience for them. Every team needs to grow their depth and put faith in young guys.

"We're away from home against an experienced Edinburgh team so we're pleased to come away with the win."

We should hopefully have more thoughts from both camps coming up shortly...

Edinburgh were criticised a lot last season for their inability to score tries and secure bonus points.

Although Sean Everitt's side will obviously be disappointed by tonight's result, there are real positives to take from their attacking performance, especially against a side of Leinster's calibre.

  6. Postpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 20 September

Leinster scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park has been named player of the match, and has been talking to Premier Sports post-match:

"It was very tough, by no means a one-sided affair so we're pleased to get over the line.

"Titles aren't won in September. There were a few young guys that really stood up out there."

    Matt Scott

Edinburgh finish with a flourish and earn a second bonus point, but it's Leinster who will be victorious.

Ben Vellacott bursts through a hole and releases Matt Scott to score under the posts.

Ben Healy's conversion sails through to finish the game and in the end, the gap between the sides is just two points.

    It's not happening for Edinburgh.

Ben Healy tries for a 50-22 but it goes out on the full and that will surely be that.

Ben Healy is going to kick at goal from the halfway line.

It's miles wide though - as you were.

  10. Sin-bin Ross Byrne (Leinster)published at 77 mins

    Edinburgh 24-33 Leinster

Ross Byrne is shown a yellow card after Darcy Graham is wiped out in the air.

The Leinster man is furious and tells referee Andrea Piardi in no uncertain terms. It looks a pretty clear yellow card to me.

It means Leinster will be a man down for the closing stages. Can Edinburgh take advantage?

Time is ticking away, and Leinster are happy to slow things right down.

They know Edinburgh need two scores in the four minutes that remain.

Ah, but Leinster turn it over and an Edinburgh fumble gives the visitors a scrum in a great attacking position.

    Edinburgh come forward again.

There's just over seven minutes left, a score in the next two or three minutes would make things very interesting...

    Duhan van der Merwe

    Game on!

Edinburgh have a bonus-point try of their own. It's clever backs play - Matt Scott releases Ben Healy out the back, and then Wes Goosen finds Duhan van der Merwe out wide.

Scotland's flying winger goes over in the corner for his second of the night, but Healy can't add the extras off the tee.

    Edinburgh 19-33 Leinster

Edinburgh win a scrum penalty inside Leinster's half.

Maybe there will be another twist in this captivating contest.

Ben Healy - off the bench - kicks the hosts into the corner.

This feels like a film we've seen before.

Edinburgh get themselves into a strong positions, but find ways to lose games. Admittedly, Leinster have played very well since the restart.

It will take a herculean effort for Sean Everitt's side to pull this one back.

Try given, and although the home crowd sound their displeasure, I think that's the right call.

    Sam Prendergast adds the extras.

    Jack Conan

Leinster go back-to-back, and that feels like a telling blow.

Captain Jack Conan powers over having broke away from a maul.

Hang on though, Andrea Piardi is asking for a second look...

    Jamison Gibson-Park

Leinster have a bonus-point try and might that swing momentum their way?

Leinster make good ground after a series of slick phases, but it takes a moment of brilliance from Jamison Gibson-Park for them to break through.

The Ireland scrum-half snipes from the back of a ruck, leaves Ali Price for dead with a big hand-off and races away to score under the posts.

    The conversion is good.
