  1. 'Terrific European encounter' in storepublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 5 April

    Glasgow v Leicester (20:00)

What a beautiful evening in Glasgow's west end for what should be a terrific European encounter between Glasgow and Leicester.

There is a stiff breeze and we'll see how big a factor that becomes, but otherwise perfect conditions for running rugby.

These teams met in the pool stage in 2017 and Warriors came out on top on both occasions, the second of which was a memorable 43-0 thrashing at Welford Road which secured Glasgow's spot in the knockout stages of the Champions Cup for the first time.

We expect it to be a lot tighter this evening, but Glasgow fans will feel if their team hits close to top gear, the URC champions should have too much for the Tigers.

It's Munster who come out in top in a classic, but we're not done with European rugby just yet.

I'm off for a breather, but George O'Neill is set to take you through Glasgow Warriors v Leicester Tigers.

It should be another good one, so enjoy!

  5. 'Phenomenal'published at 19:46 British Summer Time 5 April

    FT: La Rochelle 24-25 Munster

Munster captain Tadhg Beirne, speaking to Premier Sports: "Just phenomenal. The belief in the group going into this week, we were underdogs but we always knew there was a bit more in us. It's a special place and you see the travelling support. To have that many Munster fans brings our energy up. It ebbed and flowed, but we stuck in there. They gave it everything and thankfully we held on. What a drop goal from Jack, but his overall performance was incredible. Fair play to him."

La Rochelle have the ball but it's in their own 22 with two minutes left.

Tadhg Beirne then comes in with a huge turnover....but then Munster give away a penalty for sealing off the ruck.

This is ridiculous. 90 seconds to play!

He rushed it but it was judged to perfection.

Tadhg Beirne is warned about time wasting as the Munster pack doddle over to the line out.

That was a stern warning. Munster win the throw and it's going up the jumpers once more.
