Glasgow pile forward again and race into the Leicester 22 after a break from Stafford McDowall.

I'm going to give Glasgow some credit here, because I saw Johnny Matthews trying those 20-25m throws in the warm up.

Jamie Dobie comes off his wing really early and he's gone. With Van Poortvliet in the bin, there had to be a gap somewhere.

It didn't go to plan, but nice ingenuity from Glasgow and pressure has told.

Not sure that lineout was one from the training ground. Looked like more of a mix-up but it caused chaos and opened a gap for Venter to crash through.

It's been an excellent response from Glasgow since falling behind.

Glasgow hit back in slightly fortuitous circumstances.

Johnny Matthews overcooks his lineout throw, but fly-half Adam Hastings reacts fastest to keep hold of the ball.

From the subsequent phase, number eight Henco Venter bursts through a hole and scores next to the posts.

Hastings adds the extras and Glasgow lead.

The Leicester defence has been outstanding so far. They are meeting Glasgow runners on the gain-line and knocking them back.

Warriors will have a man advantage for the next 10 minutes though and hope to stretch that defence to breaking point.

    Glasgow Warriors 0-5 Leicester Tigers

Leicester scrum-half Jack van Poortvliet bats down George Horne's attempted pass.

Glasgow had numbers out wide and the England international is shown a yellow card as a result.

Ironic cheers come from the home fans, who don't think decisions have gone their way so far.

More excellent defence from Leicester - they wrap up Johnny Matthews at the back of Glasgow's maul and take it to ground.

Warriors come away from a spell of pressure with nothing and Franco Smith looks slightly bemused in the stands.

What a start for the Tigers!

The visitors have come out the traps here but Glasgow will not be happy with how they conceded there.

They messed up the reception of the kick-off, conceded a scrum, conceded a penalty from that scrum and then the Leicester pack needed no further invitation.

The Scotstoun crowd are a bit stunned - exactly what Leicester would have wanted.

A perfect start. You thought Glasgow had stopped the initial maul. They set well and the Tigers weren't going anywhere.

But then Cracknell peels off and he's done so well to get over the try line.

    Tom Varndell
Former England and Leicester wing on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Tommy Reffell - we know how much of a loss he's going to be, he's crucial in slowing down opposition ball.

With this Glasgow side, you need to stop them getting quick ball. They've got dangers all over the team.

Overall, I'm happy with the Tigers team. That backline has just as much power, pace and skill as Glasgow.

  20. Three changes for Glasgow; Cole returns for Tigerspublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 5 April

Glasgow Warriors v Leicester Tigers (20:00 BST)

Glasgow, who are playing their debut home knockout tie in the competition, make three changes to the side which thumped Johannesburg Lions in their last league match.

All three tweaks come in the forward pack, with Johnny Matthews and Zander Fagerson coming into the front row to join Nathan McBeth, and Matt Fagerson replacing Euan Ferrie at blindside flanker.

George Horne continues at scrum-half, having become the club's all-time leading try scorer last week, while Tom Jordan and Stafford McDowall combine again in the centres.

Leicester head coach Michael Chieka has made four changes to his side from their Premiership defeat by Saracens.

Veteran prop Dan Cole returns to the front row, alongside hooker Finn Theobald-Thomas, while Emeka Ilione is named in the back row.

In the backs, centre Dan Kelly replaces Joseph Woodward to partner Solomone Kata in midfield.

Club captain Julian Montoya drops out of the squad, with Hanro Liebenberg taking over the role in the back row, while England forward Ollie Chessum is also unavailable.
