England 19-0 France
There have been a few errors, but given this is the first match for a few months that's to be expected. England absorbed some early pressure and scored against the run of play, as they say, to take the wind from the French sails.
Finally, France string a spell of possession together in the England 22 but it comes to an end with a knock-on and it is Hannah Botterman who is there, where you might expect to see a centre, to grab it back.
Maud Muir is a battering ram through the France defence, then she is stopped 10 metres out but Hannah Botterman and Zoe Aldcroft keep it alive. France cling on and hoof it clear.
There's a long old spell without a break, with Ellie Kildunne and Maddie Feaunati prominent, then an England chip is dropped by Lina Tuy right in front of The Shed - it's an unforgiving crowd there, to say the least...
France have brought on a replacement hooker in Sochat's absence for the next few minutes. They win a scrum and break to the right, but a pass from scrum half Alexandra Chambon is just behind the next player and the attack breaks down.
Hannah Botterman is on the naughty step, some backchat is heard and the referee points out to Marlie Packer that only the skipper's voice should be heard in her direction.
But, there might be a penalty coming for a France boot kicking out at the ball as it emerges from a ruck.
