    Toulouse 40-14 Ulster

Toulouse have overpowered Ulster up front, nobody more than Emmanuel Meafou.

The lock, who has bagged a pair of tries, is requiring at least two tacklers to stop him every time he gets on the ball.

  7. Replacementpublished at 41mins

    Toulouse 40-14 Ulster

    HT: Toulouse 40-14 Ulster

The visitors do have plenty of firepower among their replacements with the likes of Iain Henderson, Nick Timoney and Cormac Izuchukwu to come on.

Surely too much to expect that those players can drag them back into this one, but there's little doubt a point would be a good return from here.

Can Richie Murphy's men get the two tries they need to bring something back to Belfast?

Ulster knew it was going to be difficult but Toulouse have been a level above.

The game may be done and dusted at the break but Ulster are halfway to securing the bonus point for four tries.

That bonus point could play an important role come the end of the Pool stages.

  10. Half-time - Toulouse 40-14 Ulsterpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

Eight tries with six of them for the hosts, it's been a free-scoring 40 minutes of rugby at the Stade Ernest-Wallon.

Ulster have no answer for Toulouse's power and their decision to leave their international forwards on the bench after the autumn series games is sure to be second guessed all the more now.

Still, with two tries on the board, they'll be aware that they're half-way to a bonus-point of their own too.

Converted try - Toulouse 40-14 Ulsterpublished at 42mins

    Emmanuel Meafou (con Ramos)

Meafou thinks he's scored again but Ulster believe he's held up.

After a lengthy TMO review, the decision is over-turned and, in the last action of the half, Toulouse have their sixth score of the game.

Ulster do have some reason to be aggrieved, however, with the series of scrums preceding the score coming after Stewart Moore was adjudged to have knocked on when replays showed the ball coming off his head.

    Toulouse 33-14 Ulster

James McNabney spills the restart and Toulouse are right back on the front foot.

  13. converted try

Converted try - Toulouse 33-14 Ulsterpublished at 36mins

    Stewart Moore (con Nathan Doak)

Ulster's line-out is stopped short of the line but, as the forwards, go through a series of pick and goes close to the whitewash, they draw Toulouse increasingly narrow.

Aidan Morgan recognises that Toulouse have folded in and whips the pass out for Stewart Moore to go over between the posts.

    Toulouse 33-7 Ulster

A rare period of Ulster possession and it leads to Alexandre Roumat getting caught offside.

Richie Murphy's side go down the line and will look to get their line-out going.

  15. converted try

Converted try - Toulouse 33-7 Ulsterpublished at 30mins

    Antoine Dupont (con Thomas Ramos)

This runs the risk of getting really ugly for Ulster here.

They've barely got reorganised after Toulouse's fourth before their under their own posts again.

The visitors are far too loose at the ruck, allowing Toulouse to steal in and turn the ball over.

Dupont scampers down the touchline before setting Lebel stretching for the line.

Ulster believe Werner Kok got underneath the ball to hold it up but, when it's recycled back, Dupont is on hand to tidy up and finish.

    Ange Capuozzo (con Thomas Ramos)

This one will count and Toulouse have their bonus-point.

Morgan's missed touch looms all the larger as Toulouse attack off the line-out and the backline cuts Ulster's defence to ribbons.

Lebel's pass to Ange Capuozzo has Toulouse in for their fourth.

Aidan Morgan misses touch for Ulster.

That's the kind of mistake you can ill-afford away to the European champions.

  18. Replacementpublished at 23mins

    Toulouse 19-7 Ulster

Ben Carson's European debut will be a short one as he's replaced by Jude Postlethwaite with what looks like a knee injury.

Ulster went with the 6:2 split so just have Dave Shanahan remaining as a potential backline replacement.

  19. Postpublished at 22mins

    Toulouse 19-7 Ulster

Ulster force the knock-on and they breath a sigh of relief.

Big scrum coming on their own put in, though.

They win a free-kick and Nathan Doak has the chance to clear.

    Toulouse 19-7 Ulster

Toulouse thought they had their bonus-point already but, as Ntamack took the scoring pass from Dupont, the fly-half was offside having crept up within a couple of metres of the scrum.

"I've never seen" says Dupont in response to the rarely called offence.

Toulouse had penalty advantage though. They'll go again.
