  4. France squeeze into final fourpublished at 14:51 BST

    England v France (15:30 BST)

France were very close to not making it to the semi-finals.

Ireland led 13-0 at half-time of a match played in soggy conditions in Exeter, before France fought back in the second half with 18 unanswered points.

Ireland had a chance to win the quarter-final - or force extra time at the very least - with an attacking line-out in the closing seconds.

However, France managed to see off that threat to secure their place in the last four.

A lamppost outside Ashton Gate has been adorned with a string of crocheted roses. The England team bus rolled past this on its arrival to the stadium, so crochet ninja Abby Dow may have cast an appreciative eye over their work.

Let's face it, it's been an easy run for England until now. They've been great. You can only beat the teams in front of you and they've done that.

England have been able to rest and rotate and still not miss a beat. This is two matches, and one of those matches is against a team they haven't lost to in 16 games.

It should all be excitement. Excitement at what's to come. There's always a lot of noise.

France fans are few and far between.

Louise, from Edmonton Green, is repping for the underdogs today though. She is a fan of the accent and the anthem, which is probably as good a way as any to pick your national team.

If her team go out today, she will be backing Canada in the final on the basis that England have already won too many games.

She was also at Italy's win over Brazil at Northampton in the pool stages.

  10. England cruise into semispublished at 14:38 BST

    England v France (15:30 BST)

England scored six tries - including a 50th at international level for Abby Dow - in a dominant quarter-final win over Scotland in Bristol.

Scotland's late score was the first try the Red Roses have conceded in a second half this World Cup.

They very much have been in cruise control so far.

You don't beat New Zealand in World Cups. That was a statement of intent for whoever Canada play next week.

They were outstanding. They dismantled New Zealand, they were powerful and brave and absolutely nailed their tactics.

  13. Canada await in finalpublished at 14:32 BST

    England v France (15:30 BST)

Canada sensationally deposed Women's Rugby World Cup holders New Zealand on Friday, inflicting the Black Ferns' first defeat in the tournament in 11 years to advance to the final.

A sensational first-half performance, including three tries in the opening 25 minutes, saw the number two ranked side in the world gain control of the game right from the opening whistle.

It will be only Canada's second final appearance, after they lost to England in the 2014 showpiece.

Will it be England or France joining them at Twickenham next Saturday?

The Red Roses go in as favourites and are yet to be tested this tournament.

However, that could all change as France know how to entertain.
