Lucu is having a blinder here.

The 50/22 looks on and he chips it over the top and into touch. Judged to perfection and the hosts have a good platform here.

    Joey Carbery can't continue.

Bordeaux have Matthieu Jalibert on in his place. That's ridiculous strength in depth.

    Here come Bordeaux once again.

Maxime Lucu, possibly the smallest man on the pitch, looks to squirm his way into the 22 and he's caught high.

Joey Carbery is also down after being on the end of a big hit.

    Penalty for the hosts.

Right, we're 40 minutes away from finding out who will face Munster in the quarter-finals.

Will Bordeaux finish this one off or can Ulster complete the mother of all comebacks?

Damian Penaud is just a freak of an athlete. He just glides across the pitch and can do everything.

Had they gone in at 21-14 behind at half time, you feel Ulster would have been buoyed.

The concede like they did, after having the ball with just 20 seconds of the half left, will feel like a hammer blow.

It's a credit to Ulster that they recovered from that start but you sense the hosts just moved up the gears again having been dragged back into a game.

They've got to just keep fighting. The scoreline probably reflects the game, some of the offloads have been incredible.

Just a reminder that Bordeaux are being this clinical without Louis Bielle-Biarrey, who is getting a rest after his player of the tournament showing in the Six Nations.

After 20 minutes we were panicking, but they started playing really well after that. We thought 'here we go', but they scored right at the end. To have conceded that late is a blow.

With the score at 21-0 after 21 minutes, few would have expected Ulster to make a game of it.

Tom O'Toole and David McCann got Ulster back into the game, but the hosts showed their ruthless edge with the final score of the half.

Converted Try - Bordeaux 28-14 Ulsterpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 6 April

    Romain Buros (con Carbery)

    What a response by Bordeaux!

A loose kick allows Joey Carbery to find some space and the forwards do the damage.

Cyril Cazeaux charges forward and finds Mahamadou Diaby, who is hauled down just short.

The offloads keep on coming and Romain Buros is there to dot down in the corner.
