  1. 'Sale hoping to box kick'published at 16:11 British Summer Time 7 June

    Leicester 13-3 Sale

    Chris Ashton
Former England, Sale and Leicester wing on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

All Sale have got at the moment to fire a shot is box kick and hope Tom Roebuck wins the ball back.

That is all that they are solely relying on to get free of position.

It's really putting pressure on the Sale Sharks skillset and some of them are not able to deal with it right now because they're under pressure.

Handre Pollard is in the zone with the boot today, or the shin, as we saw previously.

He's launched some monstrous clearance kicks and has just sent one trickling over the touchline in the 22 from his own 10-metre line.

More defensive work for the Sharks incoming... and they do it well, a hand in the ruck from Leicester turns the ball over.

Can the visitors trim the Tigers lead before the turnaround, however?

  3. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Leicester 13-3 Sale

Horrible slice from George Ford sends the ball into touch barely 10 metres forward, after a Tigers infringement.

Ironic cheers from the home faithful who are having a lovely time so far...

What a try! There aren't enough superlatives! Abso-beautifully stunning!

    Leicester 13-3 Sale

A penalty gives George Ford the chance to kick within 10 metres of the corner flag from an acute angle as the rain starts to fall.

The line-out goes all wrong, however, beating everyone, and allowing Tigers to clear their lines.

  6. 'Perfection from Leicester'published at 16:05 British Summer Time 7 June

    Leicester 13-3 Sale

    Tom Varndell
Former England and Leicester wing on BBC Radio Leicester

Unbelievable play from Tigers. This Tigers side have come to play today.

I have not seen them play this well all season and they've been good but today just exceptional.

The whole build-up to that was perfect. We asked for perfection before the game and they just delivered that.

It wasn't the best kick from Handre Pollard but that finish from Adam Radwan... Oh my days!

    One of THE great tries!

Hanro Liebenberg initially darted through a gap after some quick hands from the Tigers and then Ollie Hassell-Collins was stopped just short on the left.

The Tigers get the ball to Handre Pollard who miscues his attempted kick to the right corner off his ankle, but Adam Radwan is somehow able to sprint forward, dive and catch the ball over the try line like an NFL receiver. Special sport.

Pollard's conversion is unsuccessful, but Welford Road is buzzing.

  8. 'Sale trying to force issue'published at 16:01 British Summer Time 7 June

    Leicester 8-3 Sale

    Will Addison
Former Sale back on BBC Radio Manchester

Sale are just trying to force the issue a little bit. I think trying to offload, trying to bring this power game in that Sale are so good at when we've got a tight five with the likes of Asher Opoku and Bevan Rodd, you really want to get their hands on the ball.

At this stage Sale probably need to consolidate, go through a few more phases play and really start to bully this Leicester team.

    Leicester 8-3 Sale

We've seen sunshine and now the skies are getting very dark above Leicester... a sympathetic background storm on its way?

A ferocious pace and an incredible physical battle so far, and we still have a long while until the interval.

    Leicester 8-3 Sale

Sale's Ben Curry breaks through the Tigers line and for a moment it looks like it might open up for the visitors but some dogged defence keeps them at bay.

The Sharks are circling on the edge of the Tigers 22, however... until a handling error from Arron Reed ends their momentum.

  11. 'A brilliant finish from Radwan'published at 15:56 British Summer Time 7 June

We were just saying give Adam Radwan the ball and he does it. A brilliant finish.

Just that step back on the outside foot just caught the defence, he made three of the defence fall over.

He's so quick, just give him an opportunity. Great try.

Try - Radwanpublished at 21 mins

    Leicester 8-3 Sale

Adam Radwan shows his dazzling feet to jink through to score the opening try...

Tigers win the scum on the right inside the Sale 22 and move the ball into the middle, only to swing back through the wreckage of the packs with a ball out to Radwan, who cuts inside his covering would-be tacklers and dart through from five metres to touch down.

Handre Pollard's conversion attempt from the right flank drifts wide of the far upright, however.

  13. 'Ford dealt with the wind brilliantly'published at 15:52 British Summer Time 7 June

    Leicester 3-3 Sale

    Will Addison
Former Sale back on BBC Radio Manchester

It's a brilliant kick by George Ford there. It's a tough one having been out on the pitch earlier today, it's particualrly windy and he's judged it perfectly.

A man with vast experience at Welford Road and he dealt with the wind and the pressure brilliantly.

  14. Penaltypublished at 18 mins

    Leicester 3-3 Sale

Scrum penalty for Sale draws more cheers from the Sharks pack.

George Ford is going to have a crack from not far off halfway... just to the right of the right post, it's high, and it's good...

    We're all square.

  15. 'I love that Tigers have been direct'published at 15:48 British Summer Time 7 June

    Leicester 3-0 Sale

    Tom Varndell
Former England and Leicester wing on BBC Radio Leicester

I love the way that Tigers have been so direct but they have to make sure that they're not sending these one off runners into the Sale defensive line.

When you've got a double helping of Curry as well in Sale, they're so good over the ball and they are going after every single breakdown as well.

  16. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Leicester 3-0 Sale

Ollie Hassell-Collins is living up to the first part of his double-barrelled surname, chasing every aerial from his team-mates with gusto and causing another Sale error.

Leicester are ruling the skies at present.

  17. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Leicester 3-0 Sale

Bevan Rodd follows Tom Curry in forcing a turnover, using his bulk to get Olly Cracknell to hold on while on the deck deep inside the Sale 22.

Fists in the air from the Sharks who are priding themselves on their defensive steel in the opening stages - a month after giving up 44 points to the Tigers at this very ground.

  18. 'Pretty even Steven'published at 15:45 British Summer Time 7 June

    Leicester 3-0 Sale

    Tom Varndell
Former England and Leicester wing on BBC Radio Leicester

The battle of the aerial game is so important today. You can see both teams using that kick as a weapon.

It's pretty even Steven at the moment.

  19. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Leicester 3-0 Sale

Wonderful stuff from Sale's Tom Curry who manages to turn the ball over to end the Tigers series, and we're back to exchanging kicks.

Freddie Steward claims a sky-high up-and-under from George Ford just inside his own half but after the Sharks get the ball back in hand Ford tries a little chip ahead which again falls into Tigers hands.

Handre Pollard then produces a sublime kick, landing a yard inside the touchline, to give the Tigers a good position to apply some pressure.
