  1. Good night!published at 21:51 British Summer Time 8 June

    FT: Glasgow Warriors 27-10 Stormers

Well, we can finally get our breath back. That was absolutely frenetic.

Glasgow will be delighted with that. Up against an incredibly physical Stormers side, they handled that test as well as the conditions to end up edging the victory.

The scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. It wasn't until the 74th minute that the Warriors looked comfortable, but they certainly deserved to go through to the semis.

Thomond Park next week, an even bigger test. We'll join you then.

    Goodbye!

  2. 'We asked the guys not to go off-script' - Smithpublished at 21:48 British Summer Time 8 June

    FT: Glasgow Warriors 27-10 Stormers

Glasgow head coach Franco Smith told Premier Sports: "The rain that came down before the game made it even more complicated. Well done to the boys, we knew we'd be good in the second half if we stuck to our guns.

"We did well keeping them out at the end of the first half. In general it was a great physical effort and the boys applied themselves well tonight.

"We said that if we get the ball, we're not going to give it back to them easily and that paid off.

"The recovery will be important. We've planned it already and the menu we need to get through is shorter. I want them as fresh as possible but everything is planned."

"We carried the ball well, we have all season. We just asked the guys not to go off-script. We didn't want to give them broken play. They'll keep giving us the ball and we'll do what we need to do with it."

  3. 'If we front up like we did tonight, why can't we?'published at 21:43 British Summer Time 8 June

    FT: Glasgow Warriors 27-10 Stormers

Glasgow's player of the match George Horne tells BBC Scotland's Andy Burke: "We've got the beenfit of having this [weather] all year. We do a lot of work on it, kicking into the wind, so I'm chuffed.

"They're an unbelievable team, so physical. Our big men up front were unbelievable. They stood up to every test. The Stormers were battering at the door and we held them out. Credit to everyone.

"As a group, we've not been great at this year - when the going gets tough we've gone into our shells. Sione Tuipulotu was barging down doors, Seba [Cancelliere] doing what he does, and that was a huge moment for us. I'm glad they're on our team.

"It's a massive challenge, they're a class team and they're the reigning champions for a reason. If we front up like we did tonight, why can't we?"

  4. 'Well-deserved' victory for Glasgowpublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 8 June

    FT: Glasgow Warriors 27-10 Stormers

    Peter Wright
    Former Scotland prop on Sportsound

It's been a solid performance from Glasgow - not outstanding. Stormers haven't eben great but Glasgow's defence has been outstanding. Maybe one of their best def performances.

Stormers haven't been in the Glasgow 22m. Glasgow have forced errors and mistakes from a very good Stormers team.

They've not left the game down to the referee. Glasgow have won this game and the Stormers will be disappointed as they've not fired too many shots.

It was a cagey game for a long time but Glasgow come out well-deserved victors.

  5. Full-time Glasgow Warriors 27-10 Stormerspublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 8 June

What a way to end it! Glasgow are through to the semi-finals to face Munster.

They've finally ended the quarter-final curse and they ended up doing it in style. It was tight until the final 10 minutes when they showed a clinical edge.

It wasn't the best performance from the Stormers, but the physicality they showed was immense. Glasgow matched them though.

    Reaction to come...

    Ross Thompson

    HANG ON! Glasgow have scored!

It's Ross Thompson. Stormers spilt the ball and tried to clear the ball, but the kick was charged down and Thompson dotted down.

It's his 50th appearance, it's his last game at Scotstoun in a Glasgow shirt, and he can barely believe it. The Warriors players are going mad, and fair play to them.

  7. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 20-10 Stormers

Glasgow had a penalty and kicked it into the corner, but it went out for a Stormers throw.

Hang on. Max Williamson stole the ball from the line-out and dotted down!

But... he wasn't five metres. It's a Stormers penalty. Party pooped.

  8. Horne named player of the matchpublished at 77 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 20-10 Stormers

Former Scotland fullback Chris Paterson on Premier Sports gives the player of the match award to George Horne.

He could have gone for a number of players there. Zander Fagerson got a mention, but Kyle Steyn has been superb too. A hard choice.

  9. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 20-10 Stormers

Glasgow have pinched the ball off the Stormers again and the momentum is right behind the Warriors again.

Kyle Steyn bursts forward and from the next breakdown, the hosts win another penalty. That might just be that!

Stormers need two scores but... it can happen. They're a good enough side.

Glasgow need to be sensible, play it long and get it as far down the pitch as they can.

    Henco Venter

Glasgow go for the corner again. The throw is good, will the maul get moving?

Not this time, but George Turner splinters free. They are yards short. The Stormers are defending desperately, and there's now a Warriors advantage.

But they won't need it! Henco Venter spots the narrowest of gaps and gets his gigantic frame through it, and touches down!

George Horne takes as much time as possible with his conversion, and slots it. Ice cool.

  12. Slow-burner explodes into lifepublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 8 June

    Glasgow 13-10 Stormers

    Andy Burke
BBC Sport Scotland at Scotstoun Stadium

It's been scrappy, extremely physical, but this slow-burner of a quarter-final has exploded into life.

Stormers have finally started to show their teeth in an attacking sense, but how much will they rue Manie Libbok's calamitous performance off the tee?

Glasgow's response has been excellent. They have got themselves back into Stormers territory, the crowd are up and if they can get the next score the semi-finals will be within touching distance.

    Glasgow Warriors 13-10 Stormers

A midfield scrum goes down and it will be a Glasgow penalty 50 metres from the Stormers try line. Far too far to kick in this wind, and Tom Jordan nudges it into touch.

They're on the edge of the 22m, and the throw is good. The maul is good too, it rumbles on and leads to another penalty.

That's Glasgow's most dangerous weapon and it's the first time they've used it tonight.

    Glasgow Warriors 13-10 Stormers

    Peter Wright
    Former Scotland prop on Sportsound

Glasgow are only three points ahead and need to show more composure. The scramble defence has been pretty decent.

What's interesting is Stormers are kicking everything and giving Glasgow chance after chance to put them under pressure.

They're trying to force Glasgow into making a mistake and for me that's not a pro-active way to win the game.

    Glasgow Warriors 13-10 Stormers

Tom Jordan just burst a lung hitting a gap. This game has been breathless to watch, I can't imagine playing in it.

We've got another 11 tense, tense minutes to come.

    Glasgow Warriors 13-10 Stormers

Another few changes to tell you about for the Stormers. As mentioned, Paul de Wet is on to replace Herschel Jantjies, while Sti Sithole is on for 39-year-old Brok Harris.

Glasgow have also gone to the bench: Oli Kebble, Max Williamson and Henco Venter are on. Jamie Bhatti is back off, alongside Richie Gray and Rory Darge.

    Paul de Wet

Glasgow are forced to deal with a throw five metres from their own line and the throw is poor. Now it's the Stormers turn to have the wind in their sails.

The visitors have the advantage, but they won't need it. It's a proper snipe from the sub scrum-half who has only been on the pitch a matter of seconds.

Mannie Libbok has a much easier kick - but he smacks it off the post. He's missed all four kick and left 10 points out there.

  19. converted try

Converted try GLASGOW WARRIORS 13-5 Stormerspublished at 61 mins

    Sebastian Cancelliere

Glasgow respond immediately! Within a minute!

The Warriors turnover from the restart and Sione Tuipulotu dances through four or five tackles before offloading to the Argentine winger, who breaks out of tackle and lunges for the line.

Is there a knock on in there? No! George Horne slots the kick and the lead looks a lot bigger now.

  20. try

Try Glasgow Warriors 6-5 STORMERSpublished at 58 mins

    Ben Loader

The Stormers score the first try of the night!

The carries were big and hard, and it was Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu who spotted the first gap that Glasgow have offered. His offload is incredible and Loader slides over in the corner.

His brother, Danny Namaso, plays football for Porto as a striker. He'd have been proud of that finish.

Mannie Libbok has the tee... and he misses again.
