Van der Merwe has done himself no favours under the high ball. Struggled last tour under the bombs.

STUNNING from Argentina. They’ve scored two tries both starting from their own half! Outstanding fluid, slick rugby.

There's a welcome return for Tadhg Furlong, who is a machine but severely lacking in match minutes this season.

Mack Hansen makes his way onto the field as well.

Just 20 minutes remain in Dublin.

Argentina aren't done yet! That is one of the best tries I've ever seen at the Aviva. Stunning interplay, a perfect kick, and a brilliant finish.

For a Lions opener, which can often be cagey and staccato, this is a terrific game.

    Santiago Cordero (con Albornoz)

Welcome to the second-half party, Argentina!

There's one missed tackle in the Argentine 22 by Tom Curry and suddenly the Pumas are flying forward through Albornoz.

He finds Matias Moroni, who kicks it forward and Cordero beats Marcus Smith in the foot race to score.

    A class, class try.

There doesn't seem to be any lasting impact for Freeman as he dances inside a couple of challenges.

He just can't get a pass away to keep the move going, but it's sent into the corner and Argentina have pressure on their own throw.

There was a big cheer as Irish favourite Mack Hansen took off his bib and looked ready to go....and then some playful booing from the crowd after Tommy Freeman gave the signal that he'd be able to carry on.

One of the biggest cheers of the night for the Irishman Beirne as he scores a well worked try.

The Lions could have scored a couple of phases earlier but it was a great line from Beirne and precision passing from Williams.

Mack Hansen is ready to go...but puts his bib back on as Freeman tries to carry on.

That was a heavy landing but the Northampton wing is going to try and run it off.

Huge impact from Ellis Genge with that monstrous carry, and good accuracy and composure to finish it off as Williams puts in Beirne. Lions have started the second half like a train.

The camera operator here at the Aviva might have been a prop in a past life.

Tadhg Beirne may have been the one to score the try but it was Ellis Genge who appeared first on the big screen.

Proper order too after that carry to get things going.

It's been some impact by Tomos Williams, who fired in the delightful pass for Genge's run and he delivered again to put it on a plate for Beirne.

    The connections are working well.
