FT: Ireland 27-21 Scotland
So the Six Nations defeat back in April is avenged and Ireland begin their World Cup preparations with a win.
That will please Scott Bemand who saw his side go 14-0 down in the first half and then 21-17 down midway through the second.
However, they continued to fight and ended up outscoring their visitors by five tries to three. Only one successful conversion meant it was closer than it should have been but that can be worked on.
You can read our match report here and we will see you in Belfast next Saturday for the visit of Canada. Thanks for following along this afternoon!

FT: Ireland 27-21 Scotland
While Scotland have now lost both of their World Cup warm-up games, Ireland have one more contest before their campaign gets underway as they welcome Scotland's Pool B opponents Canada to the Affidea Stadium this day next week (August 9th)
That will be a 12:00 BST kick-off and is live on BBC Two Northern Ireland.
Speaking of that World Cup, Ireland kick their campaign off against Japan on August 24th before taking on the afore-mentioned Spanish a week later on August 31st. Both of those games are at Franklin's Gardens in Northampton.
They round off their group stage campaign against reigning champions New Zealand in Brighton on September 7th in what they hope will be a battle for top spot in Pool C.

Deirbhile Nic a Bhaird
Ireland get the maul rumbling off the penalty lineout and, just as it looks as though Neve Jones is about to peel off the back, the maul splinters and Deirbhile Nic a Bhaird crashes over.
Enya Breen rattles the post again as the uprights have been Ireland's nemesis off the tee today.
Just under two remaining and Scotland are still within a score here.
Ireland slowly but surely make their way out of their own half and win a penalty on halfway. Enya Breen's penalty makes it to the Scottish 22 but a knock on will surrender possession to Scotland.

Niamh O'Dowd
Strong work from Grace Moore as she is stopped but keeps the ball alive for replacement scrum half Emily Lane.
She can't quite get over but replacement prop Niamh O'Dowd does and Scotland's lead does not last long. Enya Breen is on kicking duties but, like Dannah O'Brien earlier, she rattles the upright.

Emma Orr (con Thomson)
Scotland retake the lead thanks to a marvellous break by centre Emma Orr. She spots a gap in the Irish line in broken play and takes full advantage going under the posts from all of 40 metres.
Lisa Thomson knocks over the simple extras to extend the visitors' lead to four points.
Eve Higgins makes a burst in the midfield that puts Scotland on the back foot. Dannah O'Brien nudges a kick in behind but Lucia Scott does well to recover and wins her side a penalty.
Ireland replace the entire front row as Neve Jones, Niamh O'Dowd and Linda Djougang are on for Siobhan McCarthy, Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald and Sadbh McGrath.
The new front row immediately wins a scrum penalty!
