What a move by Scotland. Ireland did not see that coming. Really well played by Scotland. It must have been a pre-determined move because you can see Mattinson waiting for the wing to take the ball. They identified the gap and sensed a weakness in Ireland.
Meabh Deely is under pressure after a kick in behind forces her to pick it up almost on the try line. She does well to pick up and consolidate possession.
Dannah O'Brien gets the kick away but it is a lineout to Scotland on the 22.

Lisa Thomson (con Thomson)
Inside centre Lisa Thomson converts her own try after she takes advantage of a good turnover by Alex Stewart.
Thomson barges over despite Sam Monaghan's best efforts to stop her and get under the ball. Just over a quarter hour played and we have our first score.
It's winger Amee-Leigh Costigan who latches over the ball to win a turnover on her own five metre line. She celebrates by flexing her muscles as she emerges from the ruck!
Actually it is a penalty to Scotland after a high tackle from debutant Ivana Kiripati is spotted. Scotland knock the ball into the corner to set up a dangerous lineout.

Lindsay Peat Former Ireland forward on BBC iPlayer
There's been a bit of tumult around Scotland in the build-up to the World Cup. More than half the squad face uncertainty over their contracts, while head coach Bryan Easson will step down after the World Cup - a decision captain Rachel Malcolm described as "a shock" and "upsetting". Here's Lindsay Peat's take:
It's something you don't want to put on your players, that drama and deflection away from the journey and preparation. I have to give acknowledgement to Rachel Malcolm, I thought she handled it extremely well when she was speaking with the media.
She really protected her players and put a message out there. I think that will build resilience in this team but they'll want to go out and prove a point that Scottish Rugby should invest in them that little bit more.

Scotland edge out Ireland thanks to late McGhie try
Of course, Ireland hope to gain a measure of revenge today after losing this year's Women's Six Nations meeting with Scotland in dramatic circumstances.
Francesca McGhie's late try snatched a 26-19 victory for Scotland in Edinburgh.
Ireland dominated the first half and struck first through an Amee-Leigh Costigan try, but scores from Lana Skeldon and Emma Orr sent Scotland in at 12-7 in front at half-time.
Linda Djougang and Emily Lane scored for Ireland either side of a Rachel McLachlan try for the hosts before McGhie's score in the final play sealed an extraordinary win.
