Sebastian Cancelliere is put through on the wing by a brilliant Jamie Dobie and he flies towards the line before dancing inside.

He's tackled short and Dave Cherry puts a big hit in on Alex Samuel to stop the momentum, but the penalty is coming.

Dobie appears to be starting at scrum-half, but Kyle Steyn is the man who has departed. Maybe George Horne will move to the wing, but it's Dobie who has experience there.

But Sione Tuipulotu, the wrecking ball, has his dancing shoes on and he skips through a hole. He gets it back to the halfway line to put the pressure back on Edinburgh.

Edinburgh's front-row was their saving grace in the first-half, but they've just lost two penalties in a row.

Glasgow punt it down to the corner, while Edinburgh make five changes.

Dave Cherry, Javan Sebastian, Sam Skinner, Ben Muncaster and Ben Healy are on.

Jamie Bhatti is off with Rory Sutherland, a man with 99 Edinburgh appearances, coming on.

Johnny Matthews won't get his hat-trick either. He's replaced by young gun Gregor Hiddleston.

This is mildly better from Edinburgh with ball in hand... but when Ross Thompson tries to charge up the middle, he knocks it on.

He did have a look for his options outside him and thought 'nah'.

Duhan van der Merwe has the ball in his hands and he's through a gap!

Off he goes, he's one-on-one with Tom Jordan who holds him up. Ali Price is on his shoulder, and the ball flies off his hands and goes dead.

Does Kyle Steyn slap it? No, it's a Price knock-on.

It is not their day.

Well we're back under way. Can Edinburgh close the gap and, maybe more importantly, leave Glasgow with any pride left intact?

Glasgow have got options all over the pitch. They've got a lot of players who carry the ball exceptionally well, forwards and backs.

Edinburgh look so disjointed. I'm trying to work out what the Edinburgh attack is trying to do and I'm pretty sure it's just one pass, hit.

They must have a lack of paper in Edinburgh, because all they're writing down is 'one pass, hit'.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ben Healy came out to start this second half.

If you give Glasgow a couple of penalties and field position, they will punish you with those line-outs.

They vary the tempo as they want. They can get into midfield and Tom Jordan or Sione Tuipulotu can ease off, assess the options, and explode back into life.

The clarity of understanding of what Glasgow want to do from numbers one to 15 is really impressive.

Glasgow have been brilliant in every way and theyve exposed Edinburgh for what they are which is a grossly underachieving team.

Edinburgh conceded 10 penalties and had two yellow cards, as well as 21 points. They are being embarrassed here.

Glasgow are so much better, it's unreal. We knew the gulf was big. It's bigger than I'd even imagined.

Well, that really was Glasgow and Edinburgh's seasons in a microcosm.

The Warriors were pretty clinical in attack, slicing Edinburgh apart at times while relying on their marauding maul to power them over the line.

The visitors meanwhile, were blunter than blunt in attack and wildly ill-disciplined in defence. We saw almost none of Darcy Graham and absolutely none of Duhan van der Merwe.

He must be freezing.

The Warriors come forward in waves and eventually work it to Johnny Matthews out on the wing, but his offload is intercepted as Glasgow search for the fourth.

Ali Price now kicks it dead and marches off the pitch, raging.

The scrums have taken ages to get going today and I don't think we've had one completed in the first half yet.

There's a minute left of the first half, and Edinburgh win it! Yet, when they get the ball out, they can't feed Duhan van der Merwe and kick the ball away.

Absolutely no attacking threat from the visitors this afternoon so far.
