Another scrum penalty is awarded to Edinburgh. Glasgow need to be careful in that area.

Ross Thompson, against his former club, knocks it down to the 5m line.

They need to score here if they're to have a chance of turning this around.

There's the bit of magic that Edinburgh needed, as Darcy Graham catches an up-and-under against the odds.

Wes Goosen then chucks one out the cat flap to keep it alive and Edinburgh are in the Glasgow 22-metre for the first time.

Glasgow try to steal and it's knocked on. A glimmer of an opportunity for the visitors.

    Glasgow Warriors 21-0 Edinburgh

More poor Edinburgh discipline and they're down to 14 men again.

They'd just been warned, and then Sykes almost decapitated Kyle Rowe with a desperate tackle.

This is ugly from Sean Everitt's side. They've got a huge mountain to climb.

    Johnny Matthews

Down to the corner we go again...

This time it's unstoppable! Matthews again! His 47th in a Glasgow shirt.

The Warriors are punishing Edinburgh's ill-discipline to fill effect.

Glasgow are down in the corner again. They can be clinical from here but Edinburgh defend it brilliantly.

Or so I thought. Penalty advantage coming, D'Arcy Rae offside.

Glasgow win a penalty, kick into Edinburgh's 22m, and then win another penalty as Magnus Bradbury is pinged for an offence.

Clock is off as Gregor Brown receives more treatment. He's been in the wars of late.

George Horne gets a right telling off from Hollie Davidson.

He tried to take a quick tap penalty and ran straight into D'Arcy Rae, collapsing in a heap.

Glasgow still have the penalty, but a sheepish Horne trudges back.

The metres made between these two will be a stat to look at.

Glasgow are able to march down the pitch whenever they have ball in hand. Edinburgh meanwhile, are running into a black brick wall.

Curse of the commentator though, as Luke Crosbie holds up a sniping George Horne and wins the ball back.

Kyle Rowe has just taken one with his fingertips and then dived to catch one inches from the deck.

No Josh McKay, no problem for Glasgow.

    Huw Jones

Glasgow carve Edinburgh apart from their own half, with offload after offload creating chaos in the visiting defence.

It was actually Jones' delayed offload which was perfectly timed to Matt Fagerson. He was caught, but Tom Jordan burst through a gap in the next phase and had Jones on his inside who cantered through untouched.

They made that look so simple.

  13. Sin-bin - Pierre Schoeman (Edinburgh)published at 13 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 7-0 Edinburgh

It's Gregor Brown who is holding his head. Pierre Schoeman's shouldered him in the back of the head.

Brown is falling in the ruck as he is hit by Schoeman, but the ruck is dead.

The saving grace is that he doesn't come from distance and Hollie Davidson gives a very clear explanation as to why there's no mitigation.

    It's yella card.

Ross Thompson sends the first ball to the sky and Kyle Rowe totally lost it in the skies.

Magnus Bradbury wrestled him to the floor on his own 5m line, but hurt himself in the process.

There's a Glasgow player down, too. The physicality is being felt early on.

And there's more time off as Pierre Schoeman is seen to by the physios. I'm not sure if it's an injury, as it seems to be his studs that are getting looked at.

Glasgow are frustrated. The momentum has been sucked out of the start.

Well that's a blow for Glasgow.

Johnny Matthews was able to trot back to his own half before taking a seat on the turf. It looks like he's hurt his knee, and he doesn't look comfortable at all.

Continuing for the moment... but Glasgow have three hookers on the bench, so no real concern.

    Johnny Matthews

The scrum goes down, with Glasgow given the penalty. They kick to the corner, and the maul goes down. To the corner again.

And who else! It has to be Johnny Matthews!

The backs were joining in with that one, but it's the hooker who goes over for his seventh try of the season.

George Horne adds the extras in foul conditions.

Edinburgh are going nowhere fast around the halfway line before Johnny Matthews rips the ball away.

Huw Jones chips the ball in behind. Darcy Graham is under real pressure fielding it, and Kyle Steyn tackles him behind his own line.

Glasgow get the scrum on the 5m line.

  20. Kick-offpublished at 1 min

    Glasgow Warriors 0-0 Edinburgh

Here come the teams, Edinburgh in their bright orange and Glasgow in their black and blue. The flags are fluttering bravely in the wind as the home side (sort of) are cheered onto the pitch.

Despite Glasgow's URC-winning credentials, these games are always tighter than you'd think.

Hollie Davidson is the referee, she peeps her whistle and Edinburgh kick us off.
