Gatland ‘sought clarity’ on disallowed Wales try

Wales head coach Warren Gatland says he "sought clarity" from World Rugby over James Botham’s disallowed try and other decisions made during Wales’ 25-16 first Test loss to Australia in Sydney.

The score was 18-13 to the Wallabies when the Cardiff flanker crossed as part of a rolling maul, with Gatland calling it a "big moment in the game".

Botham will start the second Test in Melbourne with Taine Plumtree moving to number eight after a hamstring injury ruled out Aaron Wainwright for the remainder of the tour.
