World Snooker Championship: Stuart Bingham emotional at win

An emotional Stuart Bingham says he "can't believe" he has reached his first World Championship final - and dedicated the achievement to his late father-in-law.

The 38-year-old overcame Judd Trump in a last-frame decider and will face former winner Shaun Murphy in the final.

"It's taken 20 years of scars, getting beat up, everything," said Bingham.

"I lost my father-in-law in March - this is for him, this is for Terry."

Bingham, who knocked out five-time champion Ronnie O'Sullivan in the quarter-finals, added: "I can't believe I'm in the final. It's just unbelievable."

Trump, 25, trailed 13-9 before producing a fine comeback to take an absorbing semi-final to the wire.

Bingham kept his composure to win through 17-16.

The winner of the Shanghai Masters last September added: "I was trying to get to sleep earlier.

"My wife Michelle was next to me on the bed and I said my heart was going just lying there because I was so excited to get out and play."

Murphy said reaching the 2015 final at in Sheffield on Sunday is "more than a dream come true".

Murphy defeated Barry Hawkins 17-9 to reach his third final at the Crucible, 10 years after he won the title as a qualifier in 2005.

The 32-year-old resumed Saturday's session needing just one frame for victory and secured his triumph at the second attempt.

"It's unbelievable, something I never thought I'd do again," added Murphy.

Murphy said he considered "going off and doing something else" after losing to Mark Selby in the semi-final of the Masters in January 2014.

Since then the player - nicknamed The Magician - has won the 2015 Masters, reached the final of the German Masters and now the final of the World Championship.

"It's not that long ago since I was considering going off and doing something else," added Murphy, a losing finalist at the 2009 World Championship.

"To have got back to the World final and won the Masters a few months ago is more than a dream come true. I'm blown away."

Murphy says he has matured since his Crucible triumph 10 years ago.

"At 22 you think you know everything on and off the table," he said.

"I was a bit of a know all. I was wrong big time. It's taken me 10 years to go through that process, learn about life and come back a better person."

The first session of the final will start at 14:00 BST on Sunday.
