Richard Cotton: Kyren's having to work really hard for his openings, but he's getting it done and surely he'll get a better run of the balls at some point.

  2. Wilson just shy of ton with 95published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

    Wilson 4-7 Murphy

He can't get that century, no, Dennis.

Kyren Wilson falls short on 95, snookering himself behind the pink after potting the brown while attempting to clear the colours.

But still he's back within three frames and all to play for.

The standard of snooker all week has been top drawer, but the standard in the final has gone up a notch for sure.

If Kyren can win the last frame before the mid-session interval, we'll have a match on our hands.

Every credit to Kyren here. Could he knock in a century break in?

We've had three in four frames from Shaun Murphy, but what a time this would be for Wilson to get his first century of this final.

He's showing the true qualities of a world champion here.

The break moves past 50, the reds are split nicely and this is surely a formality for the world champion. Even I'd win the frame from here. He only needs a few more pots.

A bitty start to frame 11 but it's Kyren Wilson who has made the better of his opportunities.

A tough red with the cue ball on the cush is negotiated and this is a big chance to make inroads and pull back within three frames.

Shaun is playing as well as I think I have ever seen him play. He has looked so sharp, he is getting through the ball and not missing any easy ones.

He was always plagued by the odd easy ball he would throw in and miss but he has been so consistent, so focused and so confident.

Shaun said at the UK Championship he was too nice. He definitely looks an angrier snooker player, a more determined snooker player now.

He was guilty in the past a little bit of posing out there, he'd be smiling, and I always thought he needed a bit of nastiness about him.

Maybe the penny has dropped and a mean Shaun Murphy could be a dangerous proposition. There's definitely a change.

Neils: Some quality on show tonight. Go on Shaun.

Kronic747: Fantastic to watch. So naturally talented. Keep it going Shaun.

Martin Warren: Shaun Murphy literally rolling back the years tonight… awesome snooker from the Magician.

  10. Maximum man Murphypublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

    Wilson 3-7 Murphy

Shaun Murphy has been in sparkling form at this year's Masters - that was his sixth century of the tournament, double the amount of any other player.

Having gone close to a 147 in his quarter-final against Neil Robertson, he finally nailed the maximum in his semi-final win over Mark Allen.

    Check it out below.

Shaun could have been forgiven for faltering a bit, being that far in front after the first session and thinking it was all going tonight after he left a red over the hole.

But he got his chance and then he just got back in stroke, normal service resumed.

Third century of final for Murphypublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

    Wilson 3-7 Murphy

Shaun Murphy crashes in the yellow for his third century of the final and proceeds to dish the colours for a clearance of 125.

He's three frames from a second Masters title of his career.

  13. 'Good enough shot to win any frame'published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

    Ken Doherty

That's one of the best he's played [with the rest] because he had to go into reds to hold for the pink.

That's good enough to win any frame - what a pot that was.

Shaun Murphy has now potted 45 shots out of 45 with the rest this tournament.

The latest one is a big pressure red with the frame at his mercy if he got it. And, of course, he did.

Even though the white ball was close to the blue, making cueing a tad awkward.

Break beyond 60 now and the frame in the bag already, lightning quick visit this.

Kyren Wilson was very much the front runner in his World Championship success at the Crucible last year, taking a 7-0 lead before eventually triumphing 18-14 against Jak Jones in the final.

But he is very much having to do things the hard way this evening.

The 33-year-old has a steely look about him almost as though he has been stung into action by the events of this afternoon, but if he takes on and misses reds like that to the middle that will count for very little against Shaun Murphy, who is playing some of the best stuff of his career this week.

Back to the baize and Kyren Wilson isn't immediately able to build on that opening frame of the night.

A tough red to middle misses by millimetres - and Shaun Murphy pounces with an excellent cut to the corner.
