It was a poor safety from Jak that let Kyren in.
What we are seeing is that the scoring power of the two players - Kyren can win frames in one visit, and Jak needs to start doing that.

Higgins beats Allen with final-frame clearance
In response to your post at 20:59 I'll just this leave one with you lads.
The risky double to get going that seven-time champion Stephen Hendry called "one of the bravest shots" he has ever seen.
The red along the bottom cushion to get position on the brown and the sheer nerve to clear up and win a final-frame decider on the black.
Vintage John Higgins.

Tony D: I always feel that they should get double points on the colour if they pot two reds in one shot.

Jak doesn't have the dynamic scoring of some players who can reel off three, four, five frames to no reply, a la O'Sullivan, Higgins, the best of the best.
He doesn't have that in his game so he's going to have win them the way it's going - he's going to have to make fewer mistakes than Kyren.
Wilson 9-4 Jones
Kyren Wilson, however, leaves a red hanging over the pocket - and this hands the frame on a plate for Jak Jones who already had a decent lead.
Potting two reds in one shot helps as well - as it takes points off the table.

Jak Jones was greeted upon his return by a very animated lady in the crowd pumping her fist and urging him on.
Did he take inspiration from that? Well, he's laid a cracking snooker on the baulk cushion behind the brown.

Mike White: Wonder how many of the 'worst final ever' mob relating to finalists in this year’s World Snooker Championship have previously moaned about 'same old faces' being involved or winning? Kyren Wilson and Jak Jones deserve to be there. Good for the sport to have new names.

They were two impressive frames from Kyren, especially the last one.
The balls are in the middle of the table but you still have to get them, under pressure.
