    One game away.

There's been no let up from Carlos Alcaraz and he moves a step closer to victory with a hold to 15.

Cam Norrie will serve to stay in the match.

I hope Norrie's game becomes a little bit more competitive but Alcaraz seems undeterred on every point.

It is hard to beat a guy when you don't do anything better than him.

One of my media friends has just pointed to his screen and alerted me to Wimbledon's live 'likelihood to win' stat.

    It's still giving Norrie a 4% chance.

    We've agreed it seems generous.

Alcaraz looked flat in the first round against Fognini. He made so many unforced errors. It could have been one of the biggest upsets of the tournament but as is often the case, the best players find the solutions. And Alcaraz did just that.

Norrie is totally out of his comfort zone.

    It might just be.

The first break point is saved but Norrie goes long on the second and Carlos Alcaraz is closing in on a semi-final berth.

He's been magnificent thus far and is now just two games away.

  8. Three break points for Alcarazpublished at 18:37 British Summer Time

    *Norrie 2-6 3-6 2-3 Alcaraz

Is this the beginning of the end for Cam Norrie at this year's Wimbledon?

  9. Alcaraz holds to lovepublished at 18:34 British Summer Time

    *Norrie 2-6 3-6 2-3 Alcaraz

Just in case Cam Norrie was getting any ideas, Carlos Alcaraz reasserts his dominance with a hold to love.

He finishes it off with another silky drop shot.

    Norrie 2-6 3-6 2-2 Alcaraz*

Another hold for Cam Norrie is met with huge cheers from the Centre Court crowd - they're willing him to at least get a set back.

There are encouraging signs with a gorgeous backhand drop shot from the baseline and he seals the game when Alcaraz finds the net.

The masterclass continues from Alcaraz in all aspects of his game, including the forehand. There's not much for Norrie to get his teeth stuck into at the moment.

  12. 'His best match of the tournament'published at 18:30 British Summer Time

    *Norrie 2-6 3-6 1-2 Alcaraz

    Greg Rusedski

I thought Norrie would get at least a set today, but unfortunately Alcaraz is playing his best match of the championship by far, no question.

Come the second week, Alcaraz is ready to go.

    Too good from Carlos Alcaraz.

Short of any better ideas, Cam Norrie hammers the ball at the Spaniard when he comes to the net.

But not only is he able to get a racquet on it, he is able to adjust to guide the ball down with the softest of hands to stun it completely.

That gives him a couple of game points and he only needs one. An ace.

If Cam Norrie is to have any chance whatsoever of fighting his way back into this match, it starts with him being solid on serve.

A double fault at 40-15 aside, he is just that here and levels it up early in the third.

A comeback has to start somewhere. I mean, I can't say I'm predicting one but still...

    *Norrie 2-6 3-6 0-1 Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz is enjoying himself out there.

An ace out wide gets him up and running in the third set with a simple hold.

All the court surfaces are medium-soft these days and on the grass and clay you have heavy balls.

If you had different speeds of surface then you might have more variety and not just see two guys distance themselves from everyone else.

Norrie could not afford to go down two sets here but the standard of Alcaraz's basics was just too high.

Statistically, Alcaraz is the best returner of the first serve ever. It's not that hard to believe when you watch him.

This is a little bit too much for Norrie at the moment.

Superb from Carlos Alcaraz. He breaks again for a two-set lead.

He brings up set point with a deep return into the corner that Cam Norrie isn't able to put back in play.

It's a loopier return on set point, but it allows him time to get back into position, get into the rally and when Norrie dumps one into the net, it's job done.

Alcaraz is a set away from another semi-final.

The umpire who officiated in the match where the electronic line calling system was deactivated on Sunday is back in the chair.

Nico Helwerth had a rest day on Monday and is now setting up on Court One for a ladies doubles match.

He’s climbed up to the top of the chair and looks like he is checking the equipment. He will hope everything is working smoothly today.

    *Norrie 2-6 3-5 Alcaraz

    John McEnroe

Norrie is doing a lot of running but does not have a whole lot to show for it so far. He needs to be continuously aggressive if he wants to have a chance here.

A feathery touch for Alcaraz to get the hold. Norrie is not going to win too many cat and mouse points against this guy.
