McDonald is putting up a good fight, but powerful smashes and cross-court winners have been Djokovic's power this afternoon.

Better, much better from Draper who gets out of a hole with a booming cross-court backhand.

That is superb from Sonay Kartal. She works Erika Andreeva out wide and the Russian is helpless when the British number three sends a drop shot the other way.

A smash at the net opens up a 40-0 lead and Kartal has three match points.

Jack Draper looks very unsettled. He grabs the advantage after Bellucci nets a drop shot but then double faults to bring up a second deuce.

All Erika Andreeva can do is shrug her shoulders after planting the ball into the net.

Mattia Bellucci is quickly becoming a crowd favourite as he somehow gets to two Draper overhead smashes before the British number one eventually finishes off the point.

At 40-15 Draper is in a great position to wrap up his latest service game but somehow Bellucci produces a passing backhand winner.

The Italian then wins a battle at the net to force deuce.

There it is! I did say it would only be a matter of time until we saw a third-set break on Court Philippe-Chatrier - and it's Djokovic who edges in front.

McDonald served well throughout but Djokovic's ability to work the court - plus a magical drop-shot return - sealed the break for the Serb.

I think Sonay Kartal was trying to be clever there and fool Erika Andreeva with a sneaky drop shot, but it doesn't come off.

Never mind. She's got another break point.

Novak Djokovic holds his serve confidently again to move 3-2 ahead in the third set.

He is managing to keep Mackenzie McDonald at the back of the court and it looks like he is in full control here.

Surely it's only a matter of time until we see a service break...

Bellucci is in sensational form. He breaks up a backhand rally with an inch-perfect drop-shot winner out of nowhere, and then backs things up with an ace.

Jack Draper can only stand back and watch. The Italian is looking oh so impressive. Hold to 30.

Sonay Kartal is having to slog her way through her service games a bit now, but she still manages to hold off her Russian opponent to move two games away from a place in the second round.

Novak Djokovic has been sharp on his service games throughout this match, and we expect nothing less from the world number six who has just seen out another service hold.

Both players are upping their game on Court Philippe-Chatrier, with McDonald hoping to stay in this match and Djokovic looking to see it out.

How's your luck? Bellucci only just gets to a Draper serve but ends up having so much slice on his return that it bounces on Draper's serve and then spins into the net.
