That is tough on Jack Pinnington Jones. That was a fabulous set of tennis from both players.

A lot of credit should go to Pinnington Jones because he really hung in there well. He learned from that first set where he just couldn't stand toe-to-toe with Flavio Cobolli's pace.

He started to absorb the pace, stay in the rallies and he gave just as much back. He came so close to levelling things up.

That's a real blow for Jack Pinnington Jones. He really battled in that set, got himself into good positions to potentially snatch it but Flavio Cobolli's big serve was too much before that backhand into the net by Pinnington Jones was met by a collective groan from the British fans watching.

Tough going now for Pinnington Jones as he looks to keep his Wimbledon run going.

  5. It’s Ram-ed on court 14published at 12:39 British Summer Time 3 July

Britain’s Jamie Murray and American team-mate Rajeev Ram are facing an early exit from the men’s doubles competition.

The pair are up against Francisco Cabral and Lucas Miedler and, having lost a marathon 22-point tie-break in the first set, they’re also now a break down in the second.

They celebrate together after Ram manages to hold serve to keep them in touch at 4-2, and those watching - including those trying to catch a look on their tip toes in the gangway - offer their encouragement.

But they’re running out of time if they are to find a way to turn this around.

After a dominant opener they went down in three sets.

It’s been a bit of a running joke at the tournament so far that I am putting out the seeds and Brits. Every match I go to seems to be an upset.

    I can only apologise girls.

American 10th seed Emma Navarro speaks after beating Veronika Kudermetova: "I'm feeling really good, I played on this court back in juniors so it was good to be back here today. It's intimate, I feel the energy from the crowd, I had some New Yorkers back here cheering me on. It's a really fun court so I am happy to survive and advance and see another day here at Wimbledon."

On being one of the top seeds left in the tournament: "A few seeds out on the WTA side especially, it is kind of anyone's tournament so we will see what happens."

How she is feeling on the grass: "I'm feeling good, it's a surface I really enjoy and have a lot of fun on and these courts at Wimbledon are pretty unbeatable. They're certainly the best in the world. I'm enjoying myself, trying not to tear up the grass too much at the baseline and having some fun."

Jack Pinnington Jones' return from the baseline is agonisingly short.

    *Cobolli 6-1 6-6 (0-3) Pinnington Jones

    John Lloyd
Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC Two

Flavio Cobolli has been a bit up and down in this set, so I think he could throw in a few errors into this tie-break.

The Italian has been a lot more hot and cold compared to the first set, in which he was boiling hot.

Jack Pinnington Jones is doing well to stay in these points - a great start to the tie-break.
