With Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter ranked higher than each of their singles opponents today, Great Britain were considered the favourites against Germany. But where do they rank against the Canadian team?

Boulter is ranked a career high 24th, while Raducanu is currently 58th as she continues her return from an injury-plagued 2023.

Defending champions Canada, who received a bye in the first round, are led by Leylah Fernandez, who is 31st in the world.

Recognise that name? Raducanu won her first Grand Slam by beating Fernandez in the final at the US Open.

Rebecca Marino is Canada's second highest ranked player at 103rd, so once again GB will be considered favourites.
