    Cash/Glasspool 6-4 4-6 0-0 Heliovaara/Patten*

That fall looked very painful for Julian Cash and he has asked for an off-court medical timeout between sets.

Henry Patten has just asked the umpire if Cash is allowed to receive treatment for a pre-existing injury. Yes, is the answer.

Patten adds that Cash has taken timeouts in his previous matches too for this issue.

Whether it's an old injury or not is up for debate. Cash definitely rolled his ankle on that final point of the second set, though.

Three British players remain in contention in the girls' singles and will hope to secure quarter-final spots today.

Hannah Klugman (pictured) was the French Open runner-up a few weeks ago and is the second seed at Wimbledon. She is just about to get under way against Charo Esquiva Banuls of Spain on court 12.

Mimi Xu, who like Klugman got a wildcard into this year's women's singles, is a break up in the first set against Tahlia Kokkinis. Xu could face fellow Briton Ruby Cooling, who follows her on court 18, in the last eight.

    Cash/Glasspool 6-4 4-6 Heliovaara/Patten*

Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool cling on a little longer to get back to deuce but Harri Heliovaara sneaks through with another forehand winner.

This time Heliovaara and Henry Patten take the set as Cash slips and rolls his ankle when trying to return.

"This has tie-break written all over it." What do I know?

We're going to a deciding set.

    Oh no.

    *Cash/Glasspool 6-4 3-4 Heliovaara/Patten

Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten should be the fresher of the pairs out there in the sun on court two. They had a walkover against Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Jordan Thompson in the previous round.

At the moment, Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool aren't showing any signs of slowing, though.

We've just seen the most competitive game of the second set but Heliovaara smashes a winner at the net to get over the line with a hold to 30.

Any mistake from the defending champions now could spell an end to their run.

Thanks Gary Rose. Find some shade and cool those keys down before the singles matches get under way in just over an hour.

Right, my keyboard keys are actually getting quite hot here and it is becoming some sort of challenge to type before the tips get a tad burned.

Thankfully my colleague Bobbie Jackson is here to take you through the second set.

A rather enthusiastic champagne popper just saw their cork go flying on to the court.

"Ladies and gentlemen when you uncork your champagne bottles please do not pop the cork onto the court," the umpire announces.

Where else could you get such announcements? It prompts some laughs and doesn't disrupt the players so all good.

Sinner started practising very gently but is beginning to hit the ball a lot harder.

He was hitting with left-handed junior player Jacopo Vasami for a bit but is now just practising with his team.

I asked him how he is feeling when he walked out to training and he said: “All good”.

World number one Jannik Sinner has been practising on site this morning for the first time since hurting his elbow in Monday's last-16 match against Grigor Dimitrov.

He fell in the first game of the match and was trailing by two sets when Dimitrov retired with an injury of his own.

Sinner had an MRI scan on Tuesday and did not practise at Wimbledon but he's here this morning with his right arm heavily strapped.

How will it hold out against Ben Shelton this afternoon?

There was some drama here at court two before play got under way as two fans' flag was apparently too big. Following negotiations they were able to keep it, but folded to an appropriate size. It now just says 'Cas' rather than 'Cash and Glasspool'

We're going with serve here at 1-1, with some good serving by Lloyd Glasspool just now sealing the hold.
