    Jannik Sinner is enjoying some 2024.

    He kicked it off with victory at the Australian Open and he hasn't looked back.

    Tonight's win was Sinner's 41st at ATP level this year, taking him beyond Casper Ruud (40) for the outright most wins of any player in 2024.

    After going four sets in round one and two, Jannik Sinner will be delighted to have wrapped up this match in three.

    He was on court for just one hour and 36 minutes.

    Sinner will play either Denis Shapovalov or Ben Shelton in the last 16.

    American 14th seed Shelton was leading Canadian Shapovalov 3-2 in the first set when their match was stopped by rain earlier. They will resume from 13:00 BST on Court One tomorrow.

    Miomir Kecmanovic certainly does look to be dejected, it hasn't been the longest three sets but it has undoubtedly been draining both physically and mentally.

    Croatian Donna Vekic has just stunned Ukrainian 28th seed Dayana Yastremska on Court One, winning 7-6 (7-4) 6-7 (3-7) 6-1 under the roof.

    That match had been moved on to an indoor court on a very rain-affected day five, and Vekic sealed match point at the eighth attempt.

    Vekic will play former world number two Paula Badosa in the next round and potentially Emma Raducanu in the quarter-finals.
