Henry Patten is the fourth British player in the Open Era to win multiple Grand Slam men’s doubles titles after Jamie Murray, Joe Salisbury and Roger Taylor.

Meanwhile, Harri Heliovaara is the first ever Finnish player to win multiple Grand Slam men’s doubles titles.

The question is, after two Slam triumphs from four tournaments entered, just how many more can they get their hands on?

Harri Heliovaara speaking on court: "I wouldn't want to repeat everything that Henry has said, but he said many things well. I also want to congratulate you guys for the final, especially Simone [Bolelli] because you have beaten me in two finals before. I had to find some strength to get over those, and I have. I believe you have so many wins to come. You both played so well so it will be nice to meet you guys again in a final soon.

"I want to thank the Finnish corner and everybody who stayed, but also everybody at home. There is an amazing support that I get at home, not only from my family, wife and two kids who have been waiting for me to come home - and now I can finally get back there. I want to thank all our coaches, physios and Calvin [Betton].

"Could I have done it without you Henry? I don't think so. Doubles is a team sport so the most important thing is to find yourself a good partner. I think I have succeeded in that pretty well, not only on the tennis court but also off it we are such good friends. I think that's what keeps us close together on tennis courts and brings us titles like this, so I'm super thankful.

"Australian Open, what a tournament. My first time here was in 2007, I stood on the court as the winner of the boys' doubles and now I'm back here 18 years after that winning the men's doubles. So this is the best tournament in the world! See you next year."

Neither Henry Patten or Harri Heliovaara could have expected the success they have had since they agreed to team up nine months ago.

Heliovaara initially declined Patten's offer to do so! What a mistake that could have been...

Henry Patten speaking on court after winning the men's doubles title: "Bloody hell - what an evening. Firstly, I want to thank everyone that stayed out here and watched us play, you guys are a little bit crazy but I love you for it. A special thanks to our corner and, of course, the Italian corner as well. You guys are amazing. We love to play in that kind of environment, so thank you.

"Secondly, what an amazing match. I know it's the second year in a row for you guys, but I know you will be back. You should such good fight and there shouldn't have really been a loser of this match. It was amazing and I wish you guys all the best.

"Harri - wow, what a journey we have been on! It's truly special to share the court with you. I wouldn't like to do it with anyone else. Let's keep going.

"Finally, Calvin [Betton] you were pretty much on your own here with us this week. Nobody works harder than you. We couldn't have done it without you mate and I'm so happy for us."
