    Verbeek/Siniakova 5-4 Salisbury/Stefani*

It's taken nine games but we have our first hold to love. I guess that means this final has been pretty competitive?

It definitely means that Sem Verbeek and Katerina Siniakova are just one game shy of taking the first set.

Joe Salisbury will serve to stay in the set.

  3. Salisbury/Stefani holdpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 10 July

    *Verbeek/Siniakova 4-4 Salisbury/Stefani

But Sem Verbeek and Katerina Siniakova can't capitalise on the opportunity and both points are saved.

It's a great comeback from Luisa Stefani and Joe Salisbury to get to deuce and then the hold.

Joe Salisbury gets his reward for chasing what looks a lost cause. The Briton is way off the court when he flicks the ball back over and Sem Verbeek's simple volley drops straight into the net. 30-15.

Verbeek comes up good at the net to seal the hold with a volley down the middle.

A very pleasant evening now here at the All England Club.

Still very hot. But bearably so as the court begins to cover in shade.

We've already had a bit of British history in the men's doubles, can Joe Salisbury become the first Brit since 2022 to win the mixed title here?

  8. Verbeek/Siniakova holdpublished at 18:58 British Summer Time 10 July

    Verbeek/Siniakova 3-2 Salisbury/Stefani*

Lots of hands signals and a couple of falls but no breaks yet in this final after one service game for each player.

We are back where it all started with Sem Verbeek who gets to 40-15 with a 110mph ace.

Joe Salisbury comes up with some big-hitting of his own for 40-30.

Luisa Stefani moves out the way thinking Verbeek's forehand is going long but it dips into the corner.

  9. Salisbury/Stefani holdpublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 10 July

    *Verbeek/Siniakova 2-2 Salisbury/Stefani

Luisa Stefani is on track to secure the first hold to love of the match until a miscommunication leaves a huge gap down the middle and Sem Verbeek takes advantage.

Joe Salisbury volleys at the net for the hold.

    Verbeek/Siniakova 2-1 Salisbury/Stefani*

Katerina Siniakova and Luisa Stefani were also across the net from each other yesterday in the women's doubles.

Siniakova and American partner Taylor Townsend, who are top seeds, won 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 to reach the semi-finals.

The Czech is in a good rhythm and seals a hold with a serve that skips off Joe Salisbury's racquet.

    *Verbeek/Siniakova 1-1 Salisbury/Stefani

    Over to Briton Joe Salisbury.

Partner Luisa Stefani guards the net and slams a winner for 15-15 before Salisbury powers over a serve.

Salisbury's attempted lob is short and smashed out of the sky by Sem Verbeek for 30-30.

Salisbury slips but Stefani is there to slam a winner for the hold.

    Verbeek/Siniakova 1-0 Salisbury/Stefani*

Sem Verbeek redeems himself with a forehand winner for deuce.

Joe Salisbury moved just a moment too early and opened up a huge space for the Dutchman to attack.

Verbeek has a very unorthodox serving motion but it's got him this far and also seals the hold.

    Verbeek/Siniakova v Salisbury/Stefani

Briton Joe Salisbury and Brazilian Luisa Stefani are yet to drop a set in their five matches during this Wimbledon campaign.

Sem Verbeek of the Netherlands and Czech partner Katerina Siniakova have also looked very solid.

They required three sets to beat top seeds Harri Heliovaara and Anna Danilina in the first round and have won the rest of their matches in two sets.

This should be an entertaining affair.

Only Billie Jean King (v Rosie Casals in 1969) and Venus Williams (v Dinara Safina in 2009) - one each - have dropped less games than Iga Swiatek (two) in a women's singles semi-final at Wimbledon in the Open Era.

  20. 'I never event dreamt that it was going to be possible for me' - Swiatekpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 10 July

    Swiatek 6-2 6-0 Bencic

Iga Swiatek has been speaking on-court after reaching her first Wimbledon final: "Honestly I never even dreamt that it was going to be possible for me to play in the final so I’m just super excited and just proud of myself.

"Tennis keeps surprising me, I thought I lived through everything even though I’m young. I thought I'd experienced everything on the court. I didn’t experience playing well on grass so that’s the first time and I’m super excited and enjoying it."

On her performance: "Every point is different and every match I need to adjust my game but for sure I feel like I improved my movement and I’m serving really well and I feel really confident, so I’m just going for it and it’s working so I will keep doing that."

On the music she listens to: "The same as every time, I liked to keep my routine so there’s some AC/DC, Guns N' Roses and the Rolling Stones.

"Everybody is asking me if I listen to that all the time buying me vinyl records and everything and I’m like guys if I listened to that all the time I wouldn’t be able to sleep, so it’s just pre-match just to pump myself up. Off the court when I don’t compete I’m more into pop."

On the final: "I don’t think I’ve played Amanda [Anisimova] on the WTA, we played in juniors and I mean she can play amazing tennis and she loves fast surfaces because she has a flat game and fast.

"I will have to be ready for fast shots for her being proactive but I’m just going to focus on myself and prepare tactically tomorrow because as I said, we know each other from juniors, I know how she plays but we've never played a match, but I don't have good memory."
