A double fault is exactly what she doesn't need - and it means advantage Joint.

The Eastbourne crowd really raises the volume as the players re-emerge from the change of ends. An attempt to boost home favourite Raducanu for one final defiant push.

At the change of ends Emma Raducanu was rather slumped as she looked at her coaching box, not looking particularly enthusiastic about the task ahead.

Coach Mark Petchey was trying to laugh it off.

I say she's still in it, but Emma Raducanu looked rather disconsolate at the last change of ends. Hand on the side of her head, face like thunder.

Maya Joint meanwhile is all bounce and fist pumps - for every one good shot by Raducanu, she pulls out three herself.

Emma Raducanu's fans are desperate to see the British number one survive this match.

But it's been a 9.5 out of 10 performance by Maya Joint since the end of the first set.

It is not that Emma Raducanu is playing badly, not at all. But Maya Joint is walking on air here, playing the kind of tennis she must dream about.

A blistering forehand punishes Raducanu again. After a few wayward efforts early on, the Aussie has really found her range on the grass.

But Raducanu is still fighting, and holds to 30. She's still in it!
