    Ouch.

That's a blow for Sonay Kartal. While she is ranked 35 places below Amanda Anisimova in the rankings, she may not have expected to be overpowered like that.

A blow for the home player.

    *Kartal 0-4 Anisimova

Big cheers from the home fans as Kartal's powerful return at 30-0 down has Anisimova floundering.

The Brit will need that encouragement because that was a rare lapse by Anisimova, who continues to find the limits of the court and stretch Kartal.

No time at all for Sonay Kartal to settle here as in just over 10 minutes she’s a double break down.

Plenty of punters have just flooded back into court and will probably be a bit disappointed to see the Brit trailing.

It’s not yet filled up again after that mammoth opening match on Andy Murray Arena.

Refuelling with Pimm’s, water and snacks is an absolute necessity after that three-hour stint.

Emma Navarro, who progresses to the quarter-finals: "It wasn't easy. I probably spend the most time on court with Beatriz. It always comes down to the wire and I knew it wasn't going to be easy today.

"I had to fight through the second set, regroup and I played some of my best tennis in the third set.

"I have only been playing on grass for maybe four days now so it is a quick turnaround, but it is a never a bad day playing on grass and I am having such a blast here.

"It is an honour to be here this week."
