An interesting stat from this match so far is that Bublik has earned four points through drop shots so far while Sinner has not won one. An indicator of how hard Bublik has had to work for each point.

No need for a drop shot from Sinner in this set either. He holds to 15.

    *Sinner 6-1 2-3 Bublik

We were worried this would be a steamrollering based on the opening 25 minutes of this match - but Alexander Bublik is made of stronger stuff.

A third double fault of the match aside, he holds serve well, crowning the game with his second ace of the contest.

    Sinner 6-1 2-2 Bublik*

The problem for Alexander Bublik is that he needs to be perfect to keep up with Jannik Sinner, and that's a near impossible task across every shot in this match.

After working so hard to hold serve in the third game of this set, Bublik is pulled back again as Sinner holds again.

    *Sinner 6-1 1-2 Bublik

Alexander Bublik's big serve sees him come from 15-30 down to set up a game point - however it lets him down at the key moment, just his second double fault of the match leading us to deuce.

But Bublik finds his serve in time, an unreturnable piledriver seeing him hold his game.

    Sinner 6-1 0-0 Bublik

Bublik must be pleased to have got on the board in the opening set, no one wants a first-set bagel.

He's a charismatic bloke and I don't reckon he'll be too disheartened, though.

This is Bublik's first time in a Grand Slam quarter-final.

He said beating British number one Jack Draper in the fourth round was the "best moment of my life".

After that, it's no wonder he's looking a bit sticky against the top seed.
