Re-watching the Wimbledon final is such a brave thing to do for Anisimova. But it is a good thing to do, to see where things went wrong.

That was as big a backhand as we have ever seen from Sabalenka but it comes to no applause. She will have to accept that the crowd is not on her side tonight.

We're four games and just over 20 minutes into this final and already Sabalenka is starting to get a touch frustrated.

Pure power is enough at the moment for Anisimova and she gets out to 0-30 on the Sablenka serve just by whacking the ball through the middle of the court.

There was not great shot selections there from Sabalenka. Anisimova is clearly struggling to get her rhythm - that is not the best choice to use the drop shot.

Amanda Anisimova isn't planning to rein in her ball-bashing.

You can see the logic - a) that's her game and b) she wants to get under Sabalenka's skin.

There are a few concerning murmurs when Anisimova does not quite find her mark.

    Patience, people.

Once Anisimova finds more rhythm she claws back the back and sends the New York crowd - featuring Friends star Courtney Cox, among others - wild.

She'll be a lot less stressed if she can get this over the line.

Anisimova's serve is one of the biggest serves on the women's tour. The line of her shoulder follows the ball to perfection.

This is such high quality tennis already- we are in for a terrific final.

Both players do not like to be too far behind the baseline - they like to get their strike in and use their legs to absorb the pace.

It is easy to forget how big Anisimova can return. That puts the pressure on your second serve and makes you go too much.

Sabalenka may not be able to go toe-to-toe on this power. I am backing Anisimova on that front.
