  1. De Minaur breakspublished at 18:26 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 2-4 Evans

Evans saves the first break point but then can't make contact with the forehand.

One break recovered by the Australian.

Word from courtside is that Evans is struggling with his right hamstring but he doesn't look to be too hindered by it if that is the case.

  2. De Minuar two break pointspublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    De Minaur 1-6 6-2 1-4 Evans*

Oh no. Evans double faults for 0-30.

Shouts of encouragement from the crowd and he responds well with a big serve but then nets on the next point.

De Minaur will have two break points. Is there another twist in this?

  3. De Minaur holdspublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    De Minaur 1-6 6-2 1-4 Evans*

De Minaur needed that. A straight-forward hold for the Australian gets him on the board 27 minutes into this third set.

How much effect it will have on the outcome of this match, I'm not sure.

Slightly negative reaction from De Minaur and you don't often see that. He thought about the racquet slam.

He is doing everything he can to just about stay positive and continue to believe he can turn this set around, but it is looking less likely by the minute.

  5. Evans holdspublished at 18:18 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-4 Evans

Super stuff from Evans to consolidate again and take a decisive lead in this deciding set.

Applause from Andy Murray on the bench, he approves. A way back into this is looking unlikely for De Minaur.

    De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-3 Evans*

As was the case in the first set Evans finds himself 3-0 up. Only this time he has the opportunity to make it four without reply if he can keep hold of his serve.

Bit of frustration from De Minaur after his latest miss, he thought about slamming the racquet down but then seemed to think better of it.

  7. Evans seals double breakpublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-3 Evans*

What a moment! From 0-40 to a double break up!

So good from Evans, sending De Minaur chasing all around the court then smashing the forehand and the Australian can only net.

    Scenes.

  8. Evans break pointpublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-2 Evans

Superb patience and tenacity from Evans after that challenge as De Minaur completely misjudges the volley then makes another mistake.

    Deuce.

Then, he sends a perfect lob to the back of the curt and De Minaur couldn't get near it.

He makes his feelings on that known to the crowd and they are loving it!

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-2 Evans

I say that then De Minaur rushes out to 40-0.

The Australian then hits a couple of suspect looking shots and the Brit wants to have a look at one that looked long.

He was right, good challenge. Can he creep back in?

This match has gone back and forth today. Good start from De Minaur at the start of the second set to swing it back in his favour but now a good response from Evans.

  11. Evans holdspublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-2 Evans

Long again and Evans consolidates the break.

Momentum has just shifted back in the Brit's favour, it feels.

Another change of racquet for Evans. He seems to have De Minaur rattled here as the Australian sends back-to-back shots long for 40-15.

Jack Draper celebrates by 'throwing' a dartImage source, BBC Sport

Seconds after Jack Draper secured victory on his Davis Cup debut, he stopped in his tracks on the court and mimicked throwing a dart at a television camera.

"We've been playing darts a lot in the team room," says Draper.

"Some are better than others - I'm pretty poor. I throw it like an arrow. So, yeah, it was an inside joke.

"A guy on the team, Billy Harris, who is here as a hitter, is the best. He brings his own darts. He hits 140s.

"From the players, Andy [Murray] is very competitive - as he would be. Dan [Evans] just talks loads of trash.

"It's really great fun, especially being part of a team because that's something we don't get to do a lot."

Exceptional defence from Dan Evans, who gets off to the ideal start in this decider.

  15. Evans breakspublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-1 Evans*

    Got it!

Superb from Evans who finds himself a break up after just one game in this third set. A brilliant effort from the Brit as De Minaur's shot flies up into the sky.

Big reaction from Evans, can he consolidate with a decent hold?

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-0 Evans

Ahh I think the British lot on the bench thought Evans had nailed that passing forehand winner but it was long and that saves break point for De Minaur.

Evans will have another opportunity, though, with a second break point.

  17. Evans break pointpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-0 Evans

Evans is chuntering away to the GB bench. For all his good play, De Minaur nets and the Brit will have a break point.

    *De Minaur 1-6 6-2 0-0 Evans

De Minaur is looking in much better touch.

Dictating points and coming into the net to set up winners - we didn't see much of that in the first set.

He sends one long to take us to deuce, though. Opportunity for Evans to sneak in here.

Right then, can De Minaur level things for Australia or will it be two wins for Britain in Manchester?

  20. 'Leon told me how much he believed in me'published at 17:55 British Summer Time 13 September 2023

    BBC Sport at Manchester Arena

Jack Draper has just been in to speak to the media and, as you would guess, he was chatting with a beaming smile on his face.

The 21-year-old said he was told a "couple of days ago" by Leon Smith he would be making his Davis Cup debut for Great Britain today.

"He said he wanted me out there and he believed in me," Draper said.

"From that we didn't talk too much about it, I prepared well and trained well.

"I really only thought about it an hour before I played, to which the nerves started coming in. I was definitely a bit nervous.

"But I know I played some tough matches in the US Open and felt really good about my tennis.

"When I got out there, with all the people supporting me, it felt amazing."
