He's extremely self-confident. He walks the walk, and talks the talk.

Carlos Alcaraz brings a lot of joy to people watching him.

I feel in the last 12 months he's looked a little bogged down at times and burdened by people saying 'you could be the greatest ever'.

That's a huge pressure for someone his age.

    Annabel Croft
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

Carlos Alcaraz went into a slump [against Damir Dzumhur in the third round].

Normally when he walks on there's a light shining on him and he marches around the court.

Dzumhur couldn't keep up with it, but then he started to make some headway and Alcaraz lost his way with the match.

Sabalenka then races through her own service game, taking it to love with a thumping forehand winner to seal, and in a flash, the Belarusian is closing in on the first set.

What a day it's been already on Roland Garros' main show court. Two matches going the distance. Could we get a third?

Carlos Alcaraz looks pretty free-flowing in a black and white hooped shirt, practising his serves.

No issues on serve for either player early on here on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

Aryna Sabalenka holds to love before Amanda Anisimova keeps it on serve, losing just a solitary point.

Some real power on display here and we've had a few early glimpses of that.

Meanwhile, Carlos Alacaraz has just made his way out onto Court Philippe Chatrier ahead of his match against 13th seed Ben Shelton.

  19. Big test for Sabalenka?published at 15:39 British Summer Time 1 June

Top seed Aryna Sabalenka is about to continue her bid for a maiden French Open title as she takes on American 16th seed Amanda Anisimova on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

Neither player has dropped a set in making it to this stage with Sabalenka losing only 10 games in her first three matches.

But while the Belarusian may be world number one and a three-time Grand Slam champion, it is Anisimova who has the edge in their previous meetings.

The 23-year-old American has won five of the seven previous matches, including three of the four on clay so this could be a real test of Sabalenka's title credentials.

Iga Swiatek, speaking to TNT Sports: "Well, it was tough.

"First set, I felt like I was playing against Jannik Sinner.

"She really pushed me. I needed to do something to get back into the game - with her playing like that I didn't have a lot of hope.

"At the end, I was able to play my game, and I am super happy.

On trying to utilise top spin: "That was the plan from the beginning. I didn't feel like she gave me any space to do that. She was playing this close from the line - it was a great level. It's always the plan - I am happy when I had the opportunity to start doing that I did."

On her performance: "I wouldn't say perfect. I don't think I have double-faulted three times in one game. It was not easy. We played pretty amazing. It is tough to play here, and it means a lot to win this match and I am through."

On the next round: "Elina Svitolina as you can see today, she's a great fighter. She plays every point like it means life or death. We played a great match in Miami this year.

"I'll focus on myself and I'll be ready."
