    It's a bit of a lull potentially at this stage in the match, it's important that Cam stays on top of it to sort of keep control of this situation.

    If you give away a break and all of a sudden you find yourself wasting 20-30 minutes of energy, then you're going to find yourself two sets to one.

    It has a different feel than if you can finish this in three straight sets.

    A minor wobble in the middle of that second set but Jessica Pegula sails into the third round of the US Open, where she reached the final last year.

    That was comfortable for the American fourth seed and she gets the job done in just one hour and five minutes.

    She will play veteran Victoria Azarenka next.

    On Louis Armstrong Stadium, last year's runner-up Taylor Fritz is one set away from round three.

    Cameron Norrie needs to stay on top here. He has done well to not give an easy break back.

    Francisco Comesana won't be feeling mentally great. He knows he is so far behind in this set and he is probably thinking about starting the third set now.

    Not only does Taylor Fritz have a double break in the third set against, but his opponent Lloyd Harris is really struggling with a hamstring injury.

    Harris has called for a medical timeout at the latest changeover and, as he receives treatment from a physio, is shaking his head in that "I'm in real trouble here" kind of way.

    The Briton uses his forehand to great effect and piles the pressure on in this second set.

    American fourth seed Jessica Pegula remains in control on Arthur Ashe.

    Her opponent, world number 80 Anastasia Blinkova, is struggling with her serving and last year's runner up is taking full advantage as she moves to take the early break in set two.

  15. 'Is there a wind swirling around out there?'

    I'm not sure whether that was a shanked first serve from Cameron Norrie at 40-15 up? It was 84mph and then he followed it up with a shanked forehand that almost trickled over the net like a drop shot.

    It's hard to tell from the commentary box, but is there a wind swirling around out there or something? There were a few mishits earlier on in the match and it seems to be coming back here.

    It looked like Francisco Comesana was trying to serve and volley on his second serve there, which is an interesting play. He has done more serve and volleying than I anticipated today, but he went really big there.

    You wouldn't expect him to be the most confident coming forward, so I think he is trying to bluff Cameron Norrie and make his opponent feel like he needs to do more.

    He wastes three break points but an extraordinary forehand at deuce gives him a fourth and he's able to convert it.

    Taylor Fritz is assuming control of his second-round match now, breaking Lloyd Harris in the first game of the third set.

    He follows that up with a hold of serve in about 90 seconds, held up only by one of the hardest-hit forehand winners I've ever seen by Harris. Would have ended up in Philly without the backboard stopping it.

    There's been a couple of times where Cameron Norrie hasn't pulled off his drop shot, but Francisco Comesana just failed to take advantage of it there and dropped it into the net.
